My skin is dry and tends to get irritated easily. My skin reacts to all sorts of products and elastic too - I'm always on the look out for body products that will moisturise and soothe. Well I've found a winner.
I purchased a tub of MooGoo Full Cream "Udder Cream" (yes it really is called that) and some body wash and they are getting my skin in great shape. Both have a sweet, milky smell but are not over-fragranced. All MooGoo products are all-natural and not paraffin-based.
The Udder Cream is my favourite. It keeps my skin hydrated all day, it feels soft and it calms redness. I just love this stuff. I've placed an order for some more of the MooGoo range and will keep you informed on how I go.
Taken from the MooGoo site:

This is a "creamier" version of the original Udder Cream moisturiser. It is designed to moisturise easily irritated skin using natural ingredients. The base oil of the cream is Sweet Almond Oil. This is high in the types of fatty acids needed for troubled skin. Also raw Coconut Oil which naturopaths often use as a skin
soothing oil. Other ingredients include unprocessed honey. The pH is balanced to the skin through the use of Apple Cider Vinegar. Naturally, the apple and honey give the cream a wonderful fragrance and there is no need for us to add any other fragrance.
Purified Water Should we say Aqua?
Sweet Almond Oil.
High in the types of fatty acids needed for troubled skin.
Olive Oil.
Wonderfully healthy for the skin. So many good things it might be best to Google "Olive Oil Skin" instead. Greasy except when mixed within a cream like ours.
Olive Squalene
Squalene makes up a large part of the skin's own oil (sebum). Olive Squalene is the same oil, but derived from Olives, not animals. For dry skin, this Squalene helps replenishes our skin's own oil. There is so much written about Squalene along the lines of "miracle in a bottle", but we like the fact that it is non-greasy best. We also use a large percentage of this oil in our Anti-Ageing Face Cream as older skin produces less Squalene and replacing this helps maintain the oil balance of young skin.
Raw Coconut Oil. Naturopaths often suggest Raw Coconut Oil to soothe troubled and irritated skin. It has also been a popular home remedy for inflamed skin. It contains all sorts of nutrients that skin loves. However, alone we find it way too "oily". But mixed with the Udder Cream it brings all its benefits, without the oilyness.
Emulsifying Wax A plant based wax that allows the water and oils to stay together. And they said it could not be done.
Milk Protein.
Cognis research found that milk protein in a cream increased skin elasticity by around 20% compared to the same cream without. Skin elasticity ensures lines and wrinkles are minimized after any movement of the skin.
Dairy Allergies: Most people with milk allergies are allergic to Lactose in milk, not the protein. However, as with all natural products, they should be patch tested on a small area of skin first.
Allantoin
(Comfrey Root Active) Comfrey Root has long been known as a healing plant. Allantoin was identified as the part of the plant that performed this function and it has since been synethised to make it more concentrated and effective. So the allantoin we use is the pure ingredient. Allantoin has been termed a cell proliferant in texts such as the "United States Dispensatory". It is said to clean away dead tissue, hastening the growth of new healthy tissue. Allantoin has been also termed a counter irritant. Allantoin produces its desirable effects by promoting and speeding up the healthy, natural processes of the body. It helps the skin to help itself. It is also promoted as preventing lines and wrinkles by assisting skin repair
Aloe Vera Most people already know the healing and soothing benefits of Aloe Vera. We loved it before we made skin care, and we love it in our creams.
Vitamin E This is considered an antioxidant superstar. Studied have also indicated it is bioavailable and protective for skin (Source: Journal of Cosmetic Science, January-February 2001, pages 35-50). Vitamin E functions on the skin to protect cells against free-radical damage, and an abundant assortment of researchers from diversified medical fields have theorized that this can slow the aging process. (Sources: Skin Pharmacology and Applied Skin Physiology, November-December 2001, and Free Radical Biology and Medicine, October 1999).
Apple Cider Vinegar We added this originally to lower the pH to that of the skin. But we also love the smell of the cream with this and honey.
Pasteurized Honey We initially added this because of the good effects for the skin. However, we love it most for the balance it gives to the Apple Cider Vinegar. A beautiful smelling cream without fragrance.
Gyceryl Caprylate and P-Ansic Acid Natural Emulsifier and Preservative
Guarsilk. A guar based skin conditioner which gives the skin a silky smooth finish.

Moogoo is AWESOME!
I use the Milk Wash as my facial cleaner. I love how it is natural the Moogoo line is. I was using Cetaphil and Sebamed however decided that I should try to lessen my toxic load especially in my daily skin regime.
I use a baby wipe to take my makeup off followed by the OCM and Milk Wash with my Clarisonic brush. Might sound like a few steps but I don't like the idea of rubbing makeup into my skin whilst using the OCM and my skin does not react well to any oily residue or heat after OCM, hence the Milk Wash. My evening wash is my calming down regime and I look forward to it after a long day at work.
I have the three creams - the Udder Milk, Udder Cream and Anti-Ageing Face Cream. They are increasing in thickness and they are all fantastic. The Udder Milk is too light for this time of year but I think it will work well in summer. The Udder Cream is perfect for day time wear and the Anti-Ageing one is for night time. They spread very well and you only need to use the tiniest amount. These products tend to sink in as opposed to being rubbed in.
The smell reminds me of Asian cake shops that have the sweet breads and cakes in it. It's kind of vanilla, ice cream and almondy.
They are so beautiful in their simplicity and have fabulous results. I can't stop talking about them! |

Are you all using the udder cream for your face?? I used it years ago but I thought it was more of a hand and body cream. I will check out some of the newer members of their line after your great reviews. Thanks |

I'm using Udder Cream on my face during the day in winter. Then I keep going as it spreads so well. It has such a lovely finish to the skin and I always think of cakes when I use it hahaha |

Hi Miss Mei,
How's the consistency of the Udder cream? Thick? And does it sink it quickly?
I am looking for a light moisturizer to apply it on my face before sunscreen. |

I live in Karratha, Western Australia and its a dry, hot sometime muggy climate and the MooGoo Udder cream is great. Due to the weather and hard water my skin gets easily irritated. The MooGoo Udder cream makes my skin feel very soft and feel calmer. I even put it on my face.
I haven't had any problem with the udder cream being put on my face. I sometimes break out but haven't noticed differece .eg more zits when using this cream.
I love that all Moogoo products are natural. |

I only use udder cream as a hand and body lotion.
I've recently finished a pot of Udder Cream and I am now trying the MSM Soothing Cream. From the website:
Quote: |
Available in 250ml Jar or 75ml Airless Travel Pump. This cream is made using the moisturizing base of our Full Cream with the addition 10% MSM (Organic Sulfur) and the removal of Milk Protein. This is the maximum amount of MSM we could add to the cream. Just mention MSM and watch the Naturopaths go nuts about its skin calming and healing properties. A quick Google search under "MSM Calming" or even "MSM Miracle" will show some of the properties that MSM is believed to impart to skin and general health. The cream is also fully loaded with other natural skin healing ingredients. These include Allantoin (Comfrey Root Active), Vitamin E, Aloe Vera and Honey.
MSM is an expensive raw ingredient. Pure MSM from a health store is around $100/kg. Naturally a cream containing 10% MSM is usually very expensive. Because we supply direct, our 10% MSM cream is much more affordable than any other on the market. If you know anyone with problem skin, we suggest they try this natural moisturizer loaded with MSM. We hate to say "Miracle Cream" but....you could check our "We Got Mail" Page. |
I was worried that it may have an unpleasant sulphur smell but it doesn't. (It doesn't have quite as yummy a smell as the Udder Cream though.) A little goes a long way and it is soothing and cooling or my irritated skin. However, I don't know that it's proving to be any better than the udder cream for me. It's early days though so I'll keep using and see.
I'm also using the Edible Lip Balm - the Cowlick One. I just love this - the mandarin flavour is yummy. Here are the ingredients:
Quote: |
Beeswax, Cocoa Butter, Jojoba Oil, Coconut Oil, Soybean Oil, Castor Oil, Apricot Kernel Oil, Sesame Oil, Vitamin E, Allantoin, Cold Pressed Mandarin Oil. |

Hi Posy lee,
I love the lipbalm too.
My Friend Niki swears by the msm soothing cream. she finds this work great on her body and her hands are so soft. But niki has some acne scarring and irritation on her face. She applies this also on her face and finds it work well to calm any irritation.
I haven't used MSM soothing cream myself but would love to hear any feedback from other users of this cream. |

Hi all
This is my first post on the forum. I've been lurking daily for several months but when i saw the MooGoo Rave thread i thought i might as well join & add my rave because i absolutely love MooGoo & wanted to share the love!
I'm on my second bottle of the Anti-Aging cream & have my third bottle ready for when the current one runs out. The bottle lasts ages, the product sinks in nicely & really moisturises my super dry skin. My skin is prone to breakouts from clogging or drying ingredients but i've never got a pimple from this product.
I've bought 3 of the Edible Lipbalms and they are the best lipbalms i have ever used. I will not use any other again! You don't have to keep applying them all the time & when you have applied it, it doesn't look obvious that you have something on your lips.
I've tried the honey lipbalm too but didn't like that one so much because of the tingling effect. |

Thanks for the post CindiLou.
I now have to try this Anti-Aging Cream it sounds wonderful. I also have skin that tends to breakout from products that clog and irritate the skin. Can't wait to try it and see if I have similar results fingers crossed! |
