I have never had any issues with any of their products ,so When I saw they had a fake tan cream out ,I thought I would give it a go as I have tried many ,and none of them measure up except elle Bache fake tan.
looking for a change I purchased Dermalogicas protective self tan.I was under the impression that it was a fake tan ,but after exfoliating etc... and applying it was sticky ,it never seemed to dry properly ,and the color was ever so slight and blotchy .I am not sure if it is due to the sub tropical area I live in .or just my skin but none of the others have been as lame.Very dissapointed.anyone have similar experiences and or reccomendations.

| I haven't tried this one but there are two that I really like. I use St Tropez lotion for a nice deeper tan (I'm very pale). This is quite good as it is heavily tinted (it's BROWN!) so you can see where it's going. You have to leave this on overnight and wash it off in the morning. The other one I like for a much lighter colour (on me) is the el cheapo L'Oreal Sublime Bronze gel. It leaves a healthy hint of colour but you'd have to reapply to get anything more significant. It also leaves your skin *incredibly* smooth - I'm not quite sure what ingredients in it are responsible for that but you can't stop touching your legs after applying this! |

| Dermalogica are really great at taking things back ... I would return it to where you bought it and get a refund or change it for something else. What a pity! |

I REALLY like the St. Tropez self tanners. I've tried the spray and the foam, and the foam is definitely a keeper. The spray leaves quite a mess in your bathroom (have to spray in the shower/bath), and the colour is quite discrete. What I liked about it, though, was that the colourguide is quite discrete too, so you can actually walk around in it.
The foam is easier to use, gives more colour, but is quite dark, so be sure to use it when you're planning to stay in.
The L'Oreal self tanning gel ruined my skin; it got so dry I could peel it off in big flakes.  So I ended up throwing that one out.
Decleor also has a very nice self tanning cream, but I don't know the name of that one.
(and for the record: my skin is medium dark and yellow toned) |

I'm still a fan of Fake Bake.
This is another one you apply at night & wash off in the morning - its dark green. I use the Skin Smoothie spray as directed as well.
I have quite fair skin so I think the slightest of mistakes from any tanner are more noticeable.
I haven't tried it on my face though. For this I stick with L'Oreal Sublime Bronze (sorry, I used the L word ). |
