I got Oshadhi rosehip seed oil (with ylang ylang and geranium), but unfortunately I can't put it on my face since it makes my skin flaky. I think it's probably due to my intolerance or sensitivity to vitamin A.
Can someone with this kind of problem tell me if it is safe to use rosehip with macadamia?
I have 100ml of this oil and would really like to find a way to use it somehow. Especially after I noticed that after I applied it for the first time my complexion was more even. So I would like to get benefits of rosehip without irritating my face.
Thanks A LOT!!!! to all of you who decide to reply to my post. |

I have extremely, ultra sensitive skin and both Rosehip and Macadamia Nut oils are wonderful for my face and I use them regularly without any problem. If your skin is very sensitive it could have been the ylang ylang that gave you the problem with flaking. Use the pure oils without additives. |

Do you think ylang ylang just irritates my skin or it dries it out?
Do you think adding macadamia will help to dminish ylang ylang effects?
I was really hoping I could still find a way to use this bottle. I bought whole lots of it and now... will probably end up using it on my feet. uhh.. |

Ylang Ylang and Geranium are essential oils and these can certainly irritate very sensitive skins even though both oils have wonderful properties. You have to be careful with essential oils when you have very sensitive skin. Rosehip and Madadamia Oil are carrier oils and thereby are very gentle for sensitive skin.
Either ylang ylang and/or geranium could be irritating because they are essential oils. I know you don't want to waste the products you have but using them would depend upon the amount of irritation you have with them. If your skin becomes very irritated with their use I would guess it's the essential oils and there's not too much you can do except perhaps use the products on other parts of the body.
Stick with the carrier oils. They are very gentle to the skin. |
