My site's URL (web address) is:www.theoriginalskinstore.com
Description (including timeline of any changes made):
After a day of trying to figure it out, I finally figured out how to verify my site using the meta tag option. I wanted to indicate a change of domain, and both the old domain (this one) and the new one are verified in thewww. format. However, when the domain name withoutwww. is typed into the address bar, it immediately expands to thewww.version. I do not understand how to even see much less add meta tags to a site that does not physically exist....I tried verifying using the same method I initially used with the code that was already there, but no joy (which I find strange since I do own both sites and at Aplus.net, my web hosts, it shows the actual domain registered with them as theoriginalskinstore.com without thewww.) But I do not have direct access to my DNS and my files, Aplus already goofed up trying to add the DNS snippet for me, so I am completely baffled as to how I am supposed to verify the non www version of my domain. None of the answers on the forum seem to fit, but if you think one does, please direct me to it. thanks in advance for your help. . |
