I'm trying the La Roche Posay Mela-D serum for my age spots. I just used it once last night. I applied it after Vit C serum. Then after that I applied Retin A.
Does this order work, i.e. C then Mela-D with Kojic Acid, then retin A?
Has anyone had results from using Kojic Acid?
Am I just wasting money? |

Yes, I have good results with the kojic acid, though I only apply the serum on the dark spot.
I use MelaD as a normal moisturizer in the morning -in winter, just started using it again as the weather is turning cold again. Started using it last winter, plus a cream with tretinoin for an hour or so in the evening which I then washed off after the hour had passed, and used a kojic acid serum only on spots before bed. It worked very well for me as in a time frame of more or less a month and a half they were practically gone. This schedule was a recommendation of a dermatologist, and I'm repeating it as the summer season has brought some spots back even though I've used sunscreen regularly. |

Hi atester, the mela-d I got is the concentrate serum, not the moisturizer one with spf 15. I think I will switch to spot treatments since applying all over was too much. It stings, too. Glad to hear it worked for you. I hope it works for me, too. |

Does no one here use Mela-D by LaRoche Posay? I find the concentrate formula really strong. It always stings my cheeks. I now limit the application to spotted areas. I won't put it near my eyes since it burned my lids last time. I also use only 1-2 drops. This little bottle will last me probably 3 months. It costs $55, so if it works, it's really worth it. |
