Hi guys!
So, you know your broke when you are destroying your foundation bottle to get every last drop
I say this because I haven't been able to go and replace my foundation that I am currently using. And just now as I am trying to get ready to put my makeup on I realize that my foundation is pretty much GONE I'm squeezing and squeezing I can hear something but nothing is coming out. So my bright little mind decides to CUT the bottle in HALF. And to my astonishment, there is sooo much left! At least a half a weeks worth!
The only problem I have encountered so far, is that storing it after exposing it like that. SO i sealed it in a plastic bag and put it in an airtight container. *fingers crossed* that it won't start to dry up.
So if you are tight on money, or still want your money's worth, cut open the bottles of your makeup! Okay so this won't work with glass but if you have plastic bottled foundation, works like a charm! |

I do this to my sunscreen products as well! Might as well get every penny we can. |

Any other tips on how we can make our products last faster? |

I do the same with all my squeezy bottles! Find that there is generally enough for quite a few applications left in there.
Small tip: when you cut the bottle, cut it at approximately 2/3rds of the way up the bottle. You will find that you will be able to fit the cut halves back together (one within the other) and it will stop it from drying out quickly. i normally end up using it all before it is able to dry out. |

I even do this with sample packets.
some are just too big and you can get 4 days use out of them.
like a face serum I got was 3ml and the full size is 30ml.
am I really going to use 1/10th of a product at a time?
or hand cream packets that are 5ml that is a few uses for me anyways.
or the eye cream sample i got that is 3 or 4ml..for one use???
I also cut open my eye creams and sunscreen bottles and always find there is 1/4 left.
just put the packaging in a zip lock bag and it should be fine for a week or 2 |
