I make a cleanser on a regular basis which is mostly comprised of aloe gel, liquid castile soap, veg oil and some essential oils. I shake it up every time but its kind of a pain. Is there a way to emulsify these? It is also really watery thanks to the soap. Could I thicken it w/something? On hand I have things like:
beeswax
Lecithin
Xanthan Gum
Shea Butter, cocoa butter, cocoanut oil
Borax
I'm sure there are more, I have so much crap, my house is like a lab!
I'm just not sure how I would do this w/the soap which is already an emulsification of two things. Can you emulsify something that has already been emulsified? Or shoudl I learn to make liquid soap and add these ingredients as part of the process? Any input would help. Thanks! |

You are welcome and I think it's one of the easiest to add to an already made cleanser. |

polysorbate80 is supposedly very good for mixing oils into water. |
