My friend tried it and it was way too rich for her. She's using Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish now. |

LOL - I'll bet it was a magazine article where they said that!
There's no such thing as a "worlds best" anything when it comes to skin care. What works for some doesn't for others.
I tried this cleanser for a couple of weeks a few years ago and it was extremely irritating (lots of eucalyptus essential oil) and broke me out badly (including causing clogged pores). It's greasy, messy and very difficult to remove completely as well. |

I tried it also, and at the time thought it was good, as its one you can really massage into the skin, and it does a relatively good job if you follow the instructions, but I've since moved on to Sarah Chapman's cleanser which I love. Not only does it do a through job of cleansing the skin nicely, it also smells lovely too, its a lot lighter than Eve Lom's stuff. The Liz Earle is kind of a creamy cleanser, but that one made me break out, but I do like the toner she has created, that also has a great smell to it and some good calming ingredients, but everyone's skin type is different, and we face a lot of skin challenges every day, so I'm kinda in agreement with Josh in that with skin there is no best for everyone. |

Thank Josh and SeanySeanUK. I went to the department store last weekend to try it out on my hand, the texture and the smell of Eve Lom cleanser is not too attractive to me, so I just brought a trial version. The cleansing result seems good, but I need to try for a few more days to see whether it will cause any break out for me . |

I've been using the cleanser for like a month now and I have to admit, to this day I have not found one that works better for me and even removes all waterproof makeup without too much of a hassle.
The smell takes some getting used to, but actually it's not that bad! |

Only for the most resilient of skins in my opinion.
Tried it ten years ago when it was initially featured in the magazines and it will mess up your skin if it is reactive in any way, especially if you use it daily.
Overpriced as well. In the UK there are now many cheaper (and sometimes better) copies.
On the hands it worked great though. |

True, it's not the cheapest option. On the other hand you really need only a small amount.
(In the UK there are a lot of brands that are not available in Belgium. I'm afraid our choices are rather limited . ) |
