Hi I have been looking around for creams to put around my eyes to prevent the bags , wrinkles and what ever else I am supposed to prevent.
I have been trying to find some creams that are for me and my wife.
Could not find anything multi sex.
In the end my wife insisted that I buy Pond's andti-wrinkle cream and some aother Pond's cream for the bags arround the eyes.
She told me that a man can also use this product.
Sorry , I am really ignorant to all of this.

Is it true what she said , or should I be worried.

Thanks alot.

hi
It is a good thing to take care of your skin. There are a few men that use this site and we welcome them. It will not harm your skin to use your wifes products. If you like what they do to your skin carry on. If you are looking for more aimed at men products there are a few threads on here that discuss mens face care and I know that there are specialist products. I am sure someone else will be able to give you good advice. Meanwhile carry on taking care of your skin.

I can't see why you shouldnt use products aimed at women, i guess if you were single then the products aimed at men might look better in your bathroom but thats all!

I get my hubby his own stuff as it drives me mad if he uses my (expensive) stuff! If youe missus is kind enough to share, take advantage of it, or, alternatively, invest in a specific mans skincare line like sircuit skin.

(had to put that in girls...even if it's just to give mrs paultony something nice to put on her face other than ponds Laughing )

I'm a guy too.

What gender it's "meant" (haha) for doesn't matter...ingredients do.

Honestly, who cares about gender neutral products. I hate it when I see someone come in to buy "hairspray for men" as if having the word men on it comforts them, and makes them feel ok about it. LOL.

Sorry if this doesn't apply to you :P

If I were you, I'd skip the dept store wrinkle cream and go to the derm for an Rx retinoid.

A Vit C serum would be nice as well! EDS has a lot of good options...

Good luck. Most dept stores products (especially wrinkle creams) have way too much fragrance. Not to mention they don't work. LOL

Personally, I think your great wanting to take care of yourself. Go for it!!! Use whatever brand that you like. Let us know what you decide to use for yourself. Certainly your wife will help you with choices.

You should get good results from skincare regardless for whom it's "marketed" as long as it's suitable for your skin type. So you and your wife might need different products (if you have different skin types) but "women's" products will work for you just fine.

In fact I've been told that some of the Clinique men's skincare is just repackaged women's stuff in less colorful bottles. I don't know if it's true but it was a Clinique counter manager who told me this Smile
