There was this item in yesterday's Daily Mail:-
'Eyelash Shampoo'
'Eyelash conditioner is the hottest new thing in Hollywood...etc...etc..
'Revitalash promises thicker and longer lashes, but at around £95 for a tiny tube it can be expensive. A cheaper alternative is gently washing your lashes in a tiny amount of Johnson's baby shampoo, £1.99 for 300ml - a similar effect, but for much less money.'
Can this be true? Has anyone tried it? |

I have only seen the recommendation to use baby shampoo prior to applying lash serums of any sort, in order to clear all the follicles. Never heard of it doing anything to grow lashes on it's own! |

Nirasha,
Many people swear by Castor Oil as a lash enhancer, they just coat their lashes before bed and seem to love the effects. |

I would be very skeptical that baby shampoo would help grow your lashes, mainly because unless it is SLS free, it is likely drying to your lashes.
I've never heard about castor oil linked to eye lash growth. I know that castor oil is often used in natural hair care products that speak about encouraging growth, so it makes sense.
I wish I could stand putting oil on my eyes ... slimey eyeballs is all I get when I do that !! |

Time2Bme,
The only thing I have seen regarding the use of baby shampoo was to unclog follicles prior to applying lash serums. It was a recommendation from an opthamologist. Personally I would use a natural one. |

Me either, if I used one it would be SLS free! |
