OK, I am working on losing a ton of weight. I am just now starting and want to work on my skin at the same time. I want to do everything I can to avoid the loose skin that comes with weight loss.
I was wondering about derma rolling in conjunction with another product? I tried reading through the derma rolling thread but it is quite overwhelming.
I am 36, and have had extra weight for like 8 years. I need all the help I can get. I am hoping that others have experience in this area and can offer suggestions.
Thanks in advance! |

If you do a search on google with "how to lose weight without skin sagging", you'll find pages of links to follow, some from very reputable places and with no sales gimmick.
The main advice is to loose weight gradually and if possible under a doctor's supervision.
Don't have any experience, just trying to help out.
Take care and good luck,
Mary |

I'm going through the exact same thing Tanya. I'm using MSM supplements, MSM soap, dry brushing, and I've recently started using Copper Peptides (for skin tightening and stretchmarks) and an AHA. I also have the No Lipo Lipo program, which I haven't yet used, and a vaculifter, which I love. I think excessive moisturization is crucial! |

Thanks both of you for the info!
P Girl what is MSM? And also, what Copper Peptides are you using? I am on a little bit of a budget so I am trying to figure out what items are the most important. So pretty much, I want it all, and I want it now. LOL.
I figure if I go into the weight loss with the idea of wanting to try and keep things from being too loose, I have a better shot than if I try to do something afterwards. Tummy tucks are expensive.... |

I know you asked for products but are you also exercising? Facial exercises and weighttraining helped me. I am currently losing weight after regaining some. I exercise at home not at a gym. |

Walking and planning on starting weight training soon too in order to keep muscle, lose fat. I am also drinking lots of water and will be taking an Omega 3 supplement (I just had surgery and cannot take it yet).
I just had liposuction (I had reconstruction after a mastectomy and they needed some of the fat to even things out), and the skin takes awhile to bounce back, so I am wondering the difference with weight loss and the fact it will be a much more substantial quantity of fat loss. I want to try and help my skin recover as best as possible as I am not sure I can deal with another surgery having had 3 in 5 months, or even afford it if comes to that. While I don't expect the tight abs of a 18 year old, I don't want to be one of those people with stomach hanging to my knees. |

I had Gastric by pass 10 yrs ago. I followed and still do a very high protein diet, very low carb and little sugar. Still take my vitamin supps,multi,calcium,d3,(i am bad with my iron)b12 shots I am 60 yrs old. Had no saggy issues until the last 4yrs. I always took good care of my skin. What changed? I didn't walk as much as I used to for exercise(get that oxygen flowing), didn't pay attention to my water intake any more (use to drink 64oz daily) Used a protien suppliment 2xa day, quit that. I think those things really made an impact, people always commented on the fact that at the age of 50 I lost 146lbs and had no face or neck sag(everything ELSE sagged, but that was hidden LOL). In June (at 60 yrs.) I had a lower face and neck "quick lift" and I now use dermaroller, copper peptides, facemaster which made an amazing change on forehead and eyes (which eyeryone thinks I had done) MD platinum Red and of course Retin a. Oh yea, an esterol face cream, good sun screen, and moisturizer. Phew, I'm exausted!!! LOL |

rmc-so you had body skin issues but not facial skin issues when you had your gastric bypass? Congrats on losing 146 pounds! That's amazing!!!
tanya-MSM is an internal supplement. There's a huge thread about it somewhere here. I take the capsules (approx. 6000 mg. daily), but you should start with less--you also need a Vitamin C supplement with it. It's relatively cheap too. I'm using a variety of copper peptides. For some reason I ordered three different ones so I'm trying them all on different areas...LOL. I have the Trireduction, the SuperCop, and the CP Serum. The serum is nice because it's super easy to spread over your belly and massage in. I haven't noticed a dramatic difference yet, but then again I've only been using it a week and I've only lost 15 pounds so far. However, there was some wrinkly-ness on my lower belly from stretchmarks and it's looking nicer already.
Also, like rmc, I drink a lot of water mentioned. Approximately 100 ounces per day. |

RMC-I am so impressed you lost 146 pounds. That is awesome-congrats!
P Girl-Thank you for the tip. I will do a search on MSM supplement. I will order some copper peptides for the stomach as well as the face. In addition to drinking water, I have read that it is also important to eat water rich vegetables for your water, in addition to drinking water,
Thank you for your answers and suggestions-I really appreciate them |
