I have been using this DIY antioxidant serum for a little while now but would really appreciate any feedback or opinions regarding my ingredients and measurements. I'm aware that too many actives in one base can mean that the base is "overloaded" but I'm not sure if I have added too many actives in here, although it all seems to dissolve quite well.
Here are my ingredients and measurements..
Aloe vera gel base
1oz of aloe vera to act as my base.
Coffee fruit extract (1g).
The website recommends adding the whole tube to 4oz of base cream, but I am using a 1oz jar so have added 1/4 of a tube. The only trouble is that I do not have any super sensitive scales to measure out 1/4 of a gram!
Acai extract
The website I purchased it from recommends 1 teaspoon to 4oz of cream, so again I have ed quarter this. I am thinking in the future, although my skin has not reacted to the powdered extract, I may try the acai oil.
Pomegranate oil
I have used 3ml in a 1oz base.
Renovage
I am quite impressed with renovage as when I was testing it, it seemed to reduce the redness of my skin, anduse it at around 4-5 %.
Resveratrol
3-4% of this.
Do you think measurements are adequate for the 1oz base? Would you add/substitute any other ingredients? Any feedback would be appreciated |
