Hi dagwood. Please don't feel bad about yourself. You can improve! For the long term, start on a low strength of Retin A, possibly a topical antioxidant (there are many C, green tea, etc.), and wear a sunscreen every single day. You will have improvement but it will take time. Think year/s, not months. I think I may have stumbled on a short term fix, but I want to experiment a little to make sure I am not seeing things before I share that one! |

Nope, not yet! I am experimenting tonight and tomorrow, as I don't know if it was the product by itself or a combination so I need to know before I say anything. |

Riley, you'll have everyone sitting on the edge of their seats waiting for the HG !!!
Dagwood, you'll receive some great advice from this forum. They have helped me tremendously.
Is your skin dry? If so, it will make the wrinkles appear worse. Also ... is your makeup emphasizing wrinkles. Sometimes switching up your moisturizers and makeup can make a quick impact while you start to work on the wrinkles.
The Skin Biology thread is another thread you may want to take a look at. Copper Peptides are a love-em or hate-em product, but many swear by them. |

I would consider tackling your wrinkles from a few angles.
1. Retin A - increases skin turn over to get rid of old, dried out skin
2. Jason Beckett's Alpha Derma - to get a "Botox like" agent, plus a strong antioxidant to improve further damage
3. Increase the penetration of the antioxidant with the "skin wand" from Acnederm or similar ionic device
4. Increase collagen and elastin with a Red light from Acnederm or similar device
This is my regimen along with a non-greasy sunblock. I have also started training myself to sleep on my back for the last week to reduce wrinkles - I believe I am seeing some improvement with this as well.
I have another thing I am looking to add in but I will share that later once it's tested just like Rileygirl (I'm curious about yours as well). All the other things I have slowly added one at a time and have seen improvement with the addition of each one. |

i agree with you, to reduce the lines, i think the best product is retin A. But it can work the lines until half a year at least. One doctor said.
Jason Beckett's Alpha Derma can improve the express lines also. But i have not tried. It has the highest strength, think it will be useful. you can use Jason Beckett's Alpha Derma on the day time, and use retin A before bedtime. |

I am wondering exactly the same, those are rather broad terms considering all the gadgets available? |

Ok. Here is what worked for me as a temporary fix. I had to play a little to see if it was a particular product or a combination.
What I did was apply my Estee Lauder eye cream and then my Devita sunscreen. After that I sprayed on Myrtle hydrosol. After a few sprays of the hydrosol, almost all the lines around my eyes were "gone". I am thinking that the key here is the hyaluronic acid in both the eye cream and the Devita. This of course is temporary. When I washed my face, my wrinkles were back. However, it did last for me the entire day, but this could have been due to the fact that I kept spraying the hydrosol sporadically through the day. I think any cream high in hyaluronic acid used first and then sprayed with a hydrosol or even the spring water would also do this trick. The hydrosol by itself did nothing, and the hydrosol over the Estee Lauder eye cream did nothing. It was only when I added the Devita sunscreen and then sprayed the hydrosol that this effect happened. Also, just to note, this morning I used an oil on my skin and this trick does not work with an oil underneath. I think because the Devita could not really penetrate through the oil. Hope some others will experiment with a hyaluronic acid cream and water/hydrosol on top and report if this works for them! |

Rileygirl have you ever tried combining only Devita sunscreen and Myrtle hydrosol? From what you said, it sounded like they would be the winning combo.
In my previous post, I ment the "Spa Wand" increases the absorbance of antioxidants. I also use Acnederm's Red and Skin wands though.
The links above are the products I use.
Spa Wand: uses ions to push antioxidants, and serums into skin.
Red and Skin Wands: they use wavelengths of light to increase collagen and improve the appearance of skin.
At first I was expecting amazing results and was not thrilled, but as I added in different products to target my skin in different ways, I found they worked synergistically. I also have to admit that I was very skeptical at first, but now I feel differently about trying something new - after I research it of course. |

Not yet. I will try just that combo tomorrow. I thought it was the "extra" dose of HA from both the EL eye cream and the Devita and then the Myrtle hydrosol just made them sink in and plump the wrinkles. If anyone tries this just remember no oil on your skin first. The HA needs to sink in and I found with a layer of oil first, the HA does not sink in. |

I have to dig into my goodies and see what I have with HA and give it a shot! I have other hydrosols but if it's the HA it should suck in all the water no matter? |

I have the PSF pure hyaluronic serum and I find that it moisturizes very well for the eye area.
I have no wrinkles yet at all though,so must be doin sunthin right!
Now if a guy I was going out with actually said "you have wrinkles" "don't like your clothing,hair/whatever"
I'm sure I'll have some lovely words for them.
-how is that guys hair, nice/crappy/need more hair
-"bad skin?
-lousy dresser
Can't really say I've had any bad comments from anyone I've gone out with on my looks.
-on specific clothing items maybe, but then I always comment on other people's clothing so thats expected! |

I just purchased the Devita facial sunscreen to potentially replace my old one (for days I don't wear make-up) along with the Janson Beckett Skin Prep because I need more moisture with winter coming (the products are suppose to be used together), and after reading round this site and others I think they will be needed additions. Hyaluronic acid is the best moisturizer and essential!
I have noticed that my skin has been dryer and Jason Beckett Alpha Derma has not been enough of a moisturizer, I need the Skin Prep for that. I'm hoping to be so happy that I'll wonder why I didn't add it sooner - well I know why because I thought Janson Beckett was just trying to get me to buy more product, but maybe they had a reason beyond making money.
Thanks for the tips |

Cagirl, how long have you been using the Alpha Derma? I have always heard good things about it, but have never tried it due to the Argireline. |
