A cleansing oil or balm might be a good alternative. |

Yes, and if you check the ingredient lists of many certified organic products you see they are SLS free and use these alternatives. |

I wasn't sure if the OP was looking for ingredients to make her own facial cleanser, or whether she was reading the ingredients list of ready-made products. Some of the Herbarie products are unique to them and won't be found on the label of a product you can buy in a department or drug store. I did notice the Herbarie defined their products as naturally derived mild surfactants. |

Devita's aloe vera cleanser uses soapwart extract, which is a great gentle alternative that still really cleans. |
