Hello,

I'm 20 and have been having jaw line pimple for almost half a year now. It's at the area right at jaw's pointy point (?) under the ear left and right. I used and Clearasil to clean my face and Acnacare pills(3 times a day) for almost 5 months but the pimples hasnt go away. Please help!

If your pimples are cystic then see a derm. Its near impossible to treat them with OTC products.

thank you. going to the derm would be my last resort. i want to try out different treatment first... my pimples arent in large area. they are just at that jaw area under the ear (about 1 inch diameter both sides). can you please recommend any products that were effective for others?

ps: about being cystic, i think they kind of are but as i mentioned it's just a small area of a quarter coin

If you won't go to a derm than at least do some research to see what you are dealing with. Nobody can diagnose yours from here, there are different types some mild, some quite severe.

The best home remedy cleanser is a solution of equal parts Rosewater and lime juice. The lime juice kills the bacteria and shrinks the pores, while the Rosewater is soothing to the skin and helps to balance the natural pH levels.

Lime juice doesn't shrink pores, the only thing thats actually been proven to do so is Retin A. Its a nice idea, and whilst the lime juice is slightly acidic so I can understand people would think something is happening, but its not actually the pores shrinking. Sadly pores don't open and close like windows. Rosewater can be very drying also. So I guess its like most things, there is no one size fits all!

Make sure you are adequately cleansing and rinsing that area. I know that for me, I tend to miss that area.

I agree this is a big issue kristy, I have said it on the OCM thread there has to be a reason it's just the jawline that breaks out! Another addition clean your phones, home, work and cell!

Also what about treating the current ones with a high frequency device? Might help speed their recovery along.

I am sure it would be a great help! I killed a persistent wart my daughter has had for about 9 years that we have frozen ect. ect.
I only wish I had had one when my son had his horrible bout with acne!!!

I frequently breakout on the same spot on my jawline. I use Cetaphil everyday and Omorovicza Deep Cleansing Mask(once a week). I also put panoxyl ointment.

I don't break out like I used to as i am now approaching mid life, however, I still have blemishes or milia built up in the jawline or in the neck area. I was once told it is caused by congestion in the lymphatic node or vessels. Message on the area would help.
