I've probably missed a topic that is already under discussion about this.. But am wondering if anyone has a recommendation for the best skin remodeling product to use for sensitive, easily reddened skin? Vit C? Retin-A? I am new to all this and trying to learn the best way to care for my skin. Thanks!

Best products so far to soothe my sensitive skin is creme de la mer and valmont regenetic cream. The other important thing is, do not change your skincare products too often:)

I used VC products for about half a year but they did not do anything. But it depends, some people noticed brighter skin after using VC.
For Retin-A, I don't know. Heard people talked about it was not safe for sensitive skin. You have to try it yourself to know whether your skin care take it...

You could alternate the lowest strength of Retin-a (.0275%) and Avene Retrinal which is retinaldehyde, a retinoid that is the closest thing to Retin-a on the market.

Copper peptides are very anti-inflammatory and do build collagen but can be hard to work with and require patience. Nancy at NCN knows a lot about them & could help you.

Retin A is your best bet, that's the only thing that works. But do not use Vit C at all if your skin is very sensitive. I stopped using all AHAs and all Vit C products, and my redness is substantially reduced.

I am also using Even Healy natural skincare products that rileygirl recommended, and find them very soothing. Sensitive skin benefits tremendously from natural calming agents that can help the skin to tolerate Retin A.

Thanks bunches! One thing I forgot to mention is that my caps break easily... Do you know if Retin-A can cause broken caps?

P.S. RussianSunshine, what is DPL?
