Can anyone recommend a good sunscreen that :

1. appear matte and leaves little whitecast
2. spf of at least 15 or more
3. is stable and offers maximum protection
4. is a combo moisturizer-sunscreen will be great but only a sunscreen is fine

I used to use neutrogena but I read how it's not stable and does not block as well as european brands.

suggestions anyone?

I've combo-oily skin which is acne prone and most drugstores brands did not work for me even Olay spf 30, neostrata, ombrelle (greasy).

Thank you!

I have combo skin as well as I really Shiseido's sun protection cream. It leaves matte finish (better than the lotion formula) and is broad spectrum (UVA and UVB protection). It leaves literally no white cast. I'm able to use a tinted moisturiser or foundation on top of it w/out looking like a ghost Very Happy Finally, no breakouts. I wish Shiseido came out with this product years ago. It is really worth a try. HTH

Three come to mind.

1. Dermalogica Sheer Tint Moisture SPF15 - it's a moisturiser with SPF and it comes tinted (but you can get it untinted as well).

2. Murad Oil-Free Sunblock SPF15 - very lightweight, no white cast, it is tinted (comes in one shade) but it's a nice "healthy" looking shade if you have pale skin.

3. Skinceuticals Ultimate UV Defense SPF30 - sunblock. Thicker that the previous two but I have no problems using this (normal to combo skin) and leaves no white cast.

ETA: Kosmea Moisturising Lotion SPF30+ (if you live in Australia or can manage to get your hands on it otherwise).

I don't know about the Shiseido one but the Murad is not expensive at all.

I know Clinique is pretty much a write-off as a skin-care line but i still find their city block is great. I use the Spf 25 oil free version which leaves a matte finish and is great under makeup and never causes spots! There are also tinted and shimmer versions if you wanted a little coverage without adding foundation over it.

I use Darphin SPF25 on my face, it has Vitamin and minerals in, so I use it as a moisturizer too for daytime. It's not MATTE, but it's not shiny either, it just make your skin look healthy. The lotion has the white tint when you put it on, but all the white will disappear after a few sec. I have normal/combo skin, their SPF30 will be too thick and heavy for my face.
