Hi guys,
This is my first topic post on EDS so hopefully am putting this under the right topic!!
I am a surfer in Australia and therefore am in the sun and the sea a lot. My hair can be dry and is very thick and in the past I have done a lot of damage to it (especially throughout summer.)
At the moment I am trying to keep it long and healthy, as I don't want to have to cut it all off again.
Just wondering if you guys had any recommendations on products (eg. shampoo and conditioners and leave in treatments) that are really effective in nourishing and hydrating hair.
Also any recommendations on products that I could put in before surfing to minimize the effect of UV, salt, wind etc.. on your hair!
Any advice would be lovely!! Thanks! |

I used to put sunscreen in my hair before there was so many sunscreen hair products- that seemed to help.
but then you need to use a clarifying shampoo after.
Then every week or 2 I would use a gloss treatment like Sebastian Colourshines in clear to keep my curly hair looking shiny.
Usually you have to go to a salon to get the gloss treatments done, but the place I go to in my city (in canada) they sell me the product and special order it for me.
I think the bottle I used to buy was 250ml at most and I used to pay around $50-60 and it was around 6 uses for me.
-but it is a lot of bother to do at home,so have not done that in ages and also have not done swimming this year much. |
