Summary (if you don't feel like reading all this ): Good, not great, but for the $$ it's pretty good.
About 3 months ago I had a gross rash on my jaw line and moderate rosacea on my cheeks. THis was not a good combo as I am sure you can guess! As I was desperately scanning the internet for anything I could use I found zinc oxide which is supposedly good for redness. I used it to no avail.
Then I used Eucerin Redness Relief to no avail.
Finally, I stumbled across Mario Badescu's web page. There are pictures of a bunch of celebrities who allegedly go to his spa in New York. I was pretty doubtful at first but I read some of the reviews so I thought I might give it a shot.
Immediately I felt a little better that I would not be robbing my wallet of more money considering the cream cost I think $18 for 0.5 ounce and $30 for 1 ounce. I wouldn't say cheap but much more decently priced than some similar products (e.g. Clinique).
When I put it on the first night I used it I did not particularly like the smell. I mean, it is definitely not bad, just kind of odd and lackluster. Maybe I am used to frilly smells
The cream does feel good and not greasy at all, a nice change from the Eucerin. By the way if anybody cares it is a greenish color.
The one ingredient that really peaked my interest was " basalm peru ". It is supposed to be anti-inflammatory and calming. There really aren't many articles on the internet about it but it seemed like it worked decently.
Overall, my rash did eventually go away and the redness on my cheeks was minimized by about 50%. I do not use the Control Cream anymore but anybody looking for a cheap (1/2) fix to redness should definitely check it out! |

I just recently heard about Mario Badescu from my friend of friend. She filled out the consultation form on its website and got many free samples.I don't know if its still working or not..but I tried it yesterday and it just took me to recommended skin care products page. Many said you have to wait for 2 weeks to get your samples so lets see.
Have tried doing this or just directly bought it? I read its product ingredients and most of it looks natural. The best part is they have lesser ingredients in each product I feel less is better in ingredient list!! |

I'm still a fan of their products after a few years.
If you want your samples to come faster, you can always buy a product and request extra samples.
They have sent me at least 10 samples before on a small order I made.
Also I know you can't request doubles of a sample product, but I asked for an extra of one cream for my mother and they actually sent it!
they have very good customer service. |
