This thread has really caught my attention. I also tried obagi with no improvement except the harsh peeling and red face. Now I have sensitive and dermatitis prone skin.
With limited funds, what products do you think it is absolutely necessary to get to try out this line? Would the balancer, lotion, and cream be enough to see if my skin tolerates it or not?
Thanks! |

Hi mtnview, I would rank the *Whitening Jineak Kit* as the 1st most important product for whitening. Again, despite its name, this is a single product, a standalone lotion/ serum type product that you're supposed to use for only 4 weeks, but I've been using for much longer than that.
IMO, I would rank the Balancer as 2nd most important, to give your skin a "base" & allow the succeeding products to penetrate more effectively. Perhaps the Essence as 3rd? Then the Lotion (4th), Cream (5th), and Cleanser (6th).
These are all the products I have tried-- however, I think that there's also a toner in the H of W Seol line as well? Also I read that they recently reformulated the Cream & it is not as effective at whitening as before. |

Thanks JLM. I have been reading a lot of blogs about this line of products. I have never used korean skin care before and am a little scared of the fragrance Can't decide what to get first, ... |

Hey mtnview, while H of W is definitely not fragrance-free, I find the smell not overpowering at all. I find that products from Lancome, Shiseido (which I actually like the smell of), and Estee Lauder (yuck) much more overpowering.
OK I just took a sniff of the Whitening Jinaek Kit. To me it smells like a sort of natural smelling baby powder?
Ugh, right now I have to take a break from H of Whoo. I overdid it with the retin-a and now it looks like I have dermatitis (again). Why do I always do this to myself, just when things are starting to look good? It kills me. Hopefully I'll be able to start back up again in a few days. |

I think Clarins has the worst scent, double yuck! I am all too familiar with dermatitis. Hope you recover soon. How are you incorporating your retinoid with the whole whoo line of products?

Hey mtview,
I'm kind of haphazard of when I'll apply the retin-a-- I usually use it every other day and put it on 20 minutes after the last step of the H of W program, but I've also tried putting it on after the Balancer & waiting 20 minutes before I put on anything else, and I've also tried putting it on after the Lotion, sandwiching it between 20 minutes at both ends (after the Lotion, before the Cream). I haven't really noticed much of a difference of when I put it on, but I'm sure there's a better way to do it. |

I just bought the kit samples from ebay. The reviews from various blogs are kind of confusing. Some said to apply all over face and some say to apply to spots only. Not sure which one to follow?
I may also get the intensive sample to put on the spots only and see what happens.
Yikes! I really should not be spending more money on skincare

Hey all! I've purchased the Jinaek Whitening Kit from Ebay. I'm going to try it on my chest where I have some serious sun damage and hyperpigmentation. I'm hoping it will help! |

So apply the kit all over, wait until it is absorbed then spot treat with intensive?
Thanks |

I just started using the Whitning kit. I am only using that. Does anyone have any suggestions on some of the products that I can add to it? Also, I have melasma that is very stubborn. Any suggestions would be appreciated. |

Hi JLM, I started using the history of whoo products. I love the peel off mask the most. I am not sure with the whitening effect ( have to wait for few more days to know i think) but skin looks healthy and dewy. Somehow I started liking these history of whoo products. It gives me a feeling of nice spa. |

I have been using my kits and intensive since Monday. So far so good...no allergic reaction. I do have a mild headache since I started using the products. Hope it is just a coincidence. I am sure the 100 deg heat is not helping with the headache.
Hope all is well with you. |

I bought a huge batch just because I was suddenly crazy about ginseng in skincare. It also seems there's a lot of plant and herb extracts in the products. Unfortunately they broke me out Other then that, they smell heavenly (a few have an artificial fragrance which I not fond of though) and the containers are so pretty! |
