O.k. Can anyone recommend a good eye makeup remover that's moisturizing or a nightly cleanser that can do both? I've been using a cleanser for both face/eyes till now but it's been discontinued.I've recently discovered MD forte cleanser 11 and really like it, but I can't use it around my
eyes.Any help would be appreciated. BTW, I have normal/oily skin with dry skin around my eyes (UGH!!crepiness setting in!!) |

I love to use Eve Lom as an evening cleanser - it is great for leaving the skin perfectly clean but baby soft and supple. It is also good for whipping off make-up and no problem to use on the eyes.
You could also try basic old Sweet Almond Oil! Try and find an organic one. |

I love Noevir's eye and lip makeup remover. I use to have such a hard time removing my eye makeup with the neutrogena facial wipes. How hard it use to be and how long it took! Email me at lyfoua@sbcglobal.net for more info. |

Hi marina,
My eyes are very sensitive and I have no problem with the following companies
Gatineau, Clarins and Lancome all do great eye make up removers.
In the morning I use the Elemis or Decleor cleanser around my eyes without any reaction.

I really like the Body Shop chamomile one. Garnier also makes a good one. The Dermalogica one is good if you don't mind the fact that it's more of a gel than a liquid. I would suggest also that you can use a cleansing oil instead of an eye makeup remover (Decleor, Babor and Shu Uemura all make one).
I don't have sensitive eyes but I have found the above to be really gentle (and much gentler than some!). |

I prefer dual-phase removers that you have to shake together. They are mild on the skin, and remove all types of mascaras. The ones I like best, are the ones from YSL and the cheap one from L'Oreal. |

Second the dual phase L'oreal one. Cheap but very good at removing waterproof mascara. |

jools, does this remove waterproof eye make up well without stinging?
I'm still in search of one that can take off waterproof eye makeup for sensitive eyes. The ones that my eyes can tolerate aren't "strong" enough to take off waterproof. It takes 4-5 swipes before my eyes are clean.
Dermalogica is gentle enough for my eyes, but not strong enough to take off my mascara in 1 or 2 passes. |

White Lotus - I use Maybelline Makeup Remover for Waterproof Mascara. It is cheap and doesn't burn or sting and isn't oily. |

I use Tesco Skin Wisdom eye make-up remover (cheap & cheerful but does the trick) if I am using a seperate cleanser, or if I want to cleanse & remove all my make up in one go I use Shu Uemura cleansing oil - shifts everything - even my Kanebo 38 degress mascara |

I have to vote for DHC Deep Cleansing Oil. It takes everything off and rinses completely with water. I think I'm on my 5th bottle! I usually follow up with Mario Badescu Enzyme Cleansing Gel. I use MD Forte Cleanser II on dry skin in the mornings.

I use Darphin eye makeup remover, since I don't put eye makeup that often, I use it as an eye compress, soak 2 cotton pads then put on your eyes, it will instantly take away all the tiredness and soothe your eyes, it's all natural.

I like either Dermalogica's or Avene's eye makeup remover... both are a clear gel texture and if you want it to be more "spreadable" just moisten the cotton pad ( always one with a cover... not just loose fibre cottonwool or the fibres can sometimes go in your eye, not nice) with water first.
I wear a lot of eyemakeup really... considering I try and look fairly neutral! 3 eyeshadow shades (powder), "kohl" liner pencil in the palest of green to wake up the look of tired eyes and at least 2 coats of mascara.
I find either of these brands will do the job well.
I used to use a liquid one, Nivea, L'Oreals, Garnier's even....and the difference to going to the gel ones ( not sure why) has been that my eyelashes seem to not fall out as much and so are looking thicker. |

If I'm wearing makeup, I use Dr Hauschka's cleansing milk in the evening. It's very gentle and can be used as a general cleanser as well. |
