ok so.i used to wear bare minerals make up for almost 3 years and i thought it made my skin dry so i kep changing creams and lotions. then all of a sudden everytime i wore bare minerals my head would start hurting and id have to take decongestant to feel better.i stopped wearing bare minerals.ive alson been on accutane for acne.i still do break out everytime i use wrong product which is pretty much anything i use. i think i destroyed my skin and its extremely DEHYDRATED i mean no moisturizer seems to make me comfertable. i literally have to hold my cheeks to feel better.i feel like i cant even keep my eyes opened coz the skin would stretch adn hurt.ive been to derm so many times and that idiot keeps telling me to use cetaphil or cerave and neither helps.

A pure oil that mimics healthy skin is a good idea, but I think acne-prone people have trouble with grapeseed oil breaking them out. I've heard jojoba oil is better for us, but I haven't actually tried it. Borage and evening primrose are other possibilities that I have tried, mostly around my eyes, but I don't think they've caused any milia like some creams do to me.

I've had good luck with the following products for barrier repair (and they don't break me out):

Olay Regenerist Regenerating Serum fragrance-free is a water-based (and silicone) moisturizer with niacinamide, which is shown to be good against acne, and it tells skin cells to produce more ceramides (part of skin's natural moisturizing factor). I find niacinamide very soothing, but it can be irritating to some extremely sensitive skin, so it may be better to start with the next product...

La Roche-Posay Cicaplast is a healing serum, also water-based but thicker than the Olay. Cicaplast has zinc and copper to kill bacteria and yeast and to tell developing skin cells to differentiate faster, madecassoside which may have collagen-building properties and I believe has anti-swelling/anti-inflammatory properties, and hyaluronate which helps skin hold onto water and I understand is soothing too.

Maybe for the dehydration, a humidifier would help?

Finally, would it be possible to find a different derm, one who's more sympathetic and helpful?
