Hi there,

I have oily, acne-prone skin and indented, pitted acne scars on my face for decades. I am using Epidermx. Regarding camellia oil and Derma butter, which one is less oily? Which one has better effects on removing acne scars?

Thanks!

Derma Butter is not oily. But camellia oil is more effective at reducing pitted acne scars. I used it to get rid of my very old and deep indents, even though it took over a year to see a complete disappearance (Yay! they're totally gone after 1.5 years). If you're concerned because of your skin type, just use it on your scars, not your whole face.

hi,

Epiderm's Camellia sinks in the fast of the ones I have tried so while it is oily in sinks fairly fast and doesn't seem to linger on top of the skin as long as others.

Don't let the name *oil* scare you. Epiderm's is 100% therapeutic and will not promote breakouts. I sell another that I would not suggest to you with acne-prone skin. Very Happy

I use both of these, neither are "oily". I have heard that Camelia oil is good for scars, but I dont have any so cannot comment on how good it is for that.

Over the last few months I have tried quite a few face creams and I keep coming back to these. If you are prone to breakout, I would avoid the Silkia Camelia oil that is sold at a lot of online stores. That was the first one I got and I gave up on it after a fairly short time because I just did not like the "film" I had on my face from it. I only went back to Camelia Oil when I was given a bottle of the Epiderm one when it came out and since I first tried it, I have used it constantly.

Why not try the dermabutter in the day and the Camelia oil at night for a while?

evelin - if you like Camellia and it works you , you don't need Derma Butter, but it is suggested that you use the oil with the butter on top and with dry winter months I have done this and I really wake up moisturized. I won't be doing this in summer months. I like the oil at night and the butter during the day with spf on top.

hi sats,

Epidermx will help the scarring more but you put Camellia oil on after a treatment. Epidermx is a manual microdermabrasion cream. You can use as a scrub nightly but you only massage it 10-20 seconds vs 5 mins or more as a treatment where you will get your skin balling up and dropping off into the sink. You will be left with super smooth skin. With scarring it will take some months to clear, it will help but don't expect it to clear overnite. Do keep with it. Very Happy

I use Camellia oil nightly as my moisturizer and I love it after an Epidermx treatment. deb
