I have great a problem. I am only 26. However I have dry line / wrinkle under eye especially after I put concealer for my horrible dark circle. Here is what I am using:
routine skincare (just write out my eye care)
Vitamin A serum
Tried: La Mer eye serum (not good)
Also tried: Eminence eye contour eye cream (ok)
Now using Perfective-ceutical eye therapy (seem better than Eminence). I pad/massage on eye area lightly.
Concealer: I have tried bobbibrown, IPSA, shiseido, Dior (NUDE hydrating concealer); Laura Mercier secret concealer. None of them are good (still dehydrate my eye area and make my dry lines more visible). I have already apply one thin layer with concealer brush and then press evenly on lightly using my finger.
Any suggestion??? Which concealer is good for long-time wear + hydrating (b/c my dry line get very worse and now starting to become wrinkle, not appear after I apply eye cream at night ><)
thanks |

A couple of suggestions...
Have you considered Vit C to eliminate your dark circles? Or treating any related allergies?
I like Maybelline Instant Age Rewind concealer for blemishes, and I imagine it works well for dark circles. It's pretty good for not creasing into lines and wrinkles. I have also used and liked Dermalogica total eye care SPF 15, a tinted eye cream that can double as a concealer. It's not drying, but I still used a moisturizer underneath, like Olay Regenerist serum or pure primrose oil.
Do you use a moisturizer under your concealer? I'm guessing you use the Vit A cream at night, but what for daytime? |

I am now using perfective ceutical eye therapy day and night.
I have tried vit C for my dark circle, it doesn't work b/c dark circle is due to circulation, not pigmentation. Therefore I need some heavier concealer but also hydrating. I tried the Dermalogica total eye care SPF 15; however not enough coverage >< |

Ok, if it's a circulation issue, then maybe Vit K would help (orally or topically), or oral grape seed extract or pycnogenol which strengthen blood vessel walls. Topical Vit C might even help strengthen blood vessel walls in the long run, but if you've already given it a good try (several months?), then I suppose there's no point continuing.
I hope someone else will chime in with concealer recs. The only other thing that leaps to mind is CoverBlend makeup by Neostrata. |
