Now my face is looking better, I have only just realised my neck is not looking too good, I have 2 parallel stringy skin bits below the chin, or commonly known as turkey neck.
I am confused on why when using the lightstim to avoid the thyroid area, after searching the forum I have concluded that lightstim and vaculift, as well as exercises, oh and retin a will help this, my question is with what treatments do I need to avoid the thyroid area, do I have to avoid it when using the vaculift?
Also can I use vaculift 2x per day and how long do you do it for etc etc.
and most importantly is the thyroid at the bottom of the neck?

thankyou
helen

It's advisable not to use any electrical devices over the thyroid area - but massaging with the Vaculifter should be fine.

I think we discussed this on the Lightstim thread. I don't think you need to avoid the thyroid area with the LS unless you have a thyroid condition. I will look for the page the discussion is on.

I had no idea! You would think that any stimulation on underactive thyroid might do some good.

I can tell you there are a handful of yoga poses that basically squeeze the thyroid gland, and are considered a good thing for an underactive thyroid...

I see a lot of discussion and advising of people not to use LED on the thyroid area but I can't find anything online or any LED directions that say that. Nanci at NCN told me the same thing that packratmack said above...you only have to avoid that area if you already have a thyroid condition. Otherwise it's fine. People who use DPL panels place them in a V right across the front of the neck and don't have notable problems. LED isn't a stimulating device or massager. You'd think the LED directions would include that if it were the case b/c it seems like it would be important. So if anyone does have online material they can share that says not to use LED (specifically) on that area please share!
