I had bought the Pretika at QVC but returned it. It just tore my face up, just to harsh for my skin. But a lot of people do like it. I don't think it compares to the Clarisonic which I use and like. |

I have never used clarisonic and but I like pretika, I have this for few months now... it may not work for you if you have sensitive skin as the brush is not very soft and will give you a good exfoliation, which i like. btw, i dont use it with cleanser, I use it after washing with cleanser while my face is still very wet... and only few times a week, not every day. |

I have the Pretika SonicDermabrasion brush (didn't know they still made it!). I've had it almost as long as I've been on EDS. I alternate between that, and a humble microfibre cloth for cleansing (and OCM a few times a week).
As for it breaking, I know I had the old NiCAD version, which died after a few months. Lots of people had problems with it. I emailed Pretika and they sent me the NiMH version which has been going strong for years.
It doesn't need charged often (I use my Anti-Aging Lightstim UK adapter with it) and my skin seems to like it, though the brush may be too harsh for sensitive skin. I've read its bristles are rougher than the Clarisonic brush.
PS: Just had a look at their site and they have an OxySonic Facial Brush ($240!):
"OxySonic combines the benefits of a Microdermabrasion Facial Brush with the hydrating benefits of Oxygen - delivering Oxygenated mists to nourish the skin while removing cell debris and resurfacing skin for reduced fine lines, wrinkles and pore size - and prepares the skin to better absorb skin care treatments. Use separately or in combination with skin care treatments.|
OxySonic features a hand-held Facial Brush with Micro-Pulsating Vibration Cleansing Technology that can deliver Oxygenated Mists to the skin. Both features can be used separately or in combination with one another."

I had one of the newer ones. It actually worked really well but the brushes were stiffer/rougher than my friend's clairsonic. Sadly I got breakouts on my cheeks and gave it away. I've seen the mia going for 60 on ebay so it's not that much more. I'd prefer a smaller brush head anyway as I couldn't use it except around my eyes/forehead area bc of the breakouts. Never put the brush head back on the charger wet- that will eventually cause problems. |
