Two brands that are becoming popular are Rice Force and Dr. Ci Labo.

We have SO many brands over here, but these are two out of the norm. Dr. Ci Labo even has some English info on their website http://www.ci-labo.com/

I have been SO tempted to try Ci Labo, but have too much other stuff I am happy with Laughing

i've been hearing good things about kanebo international (the more expensive range).

don't know how popular it is in japan, but they are japanese products that have been getting some press here in n. america.

tiger_tim,

Albion is super popular in Taiwan. How is it in Japan? Just curious...

I found a bit of English info on the brand Rice Force and it has a link to the main site (which is in Japanese only)

As for ALBION, I see it all over the place but I have never tried it myself. I have to admit that I have never paid much attention to the brand...

I want to give you the link, but since this ID is so new and so few posts, it wont let me post the link so you will need to put in the "." in the space after "www"

www i-image.jp/english/riceforce.html

tiger tim, thanks for trying, but the link won't work for me even typing in the period won't work. i guess i should either learn japanese or wait a few years when they get more popular and have an english site Confused

For those prefering skincare products without preservatives and other additives, FANCL is a good brand to look out for in Japan. Ipsa and RMK are have some great makeup selection that I drool over every time I walk pass their counter... Drool

I have been hearing about Kanebo Sensai, some said it is very good, but never have a chance to use it since Kanebo withdrew from UK (Harrods used to sell it). I heard Shiseido is good too.
