Hi everyone,
I am new here - I made a big mistake this week with my skin care routine, hopefully you can help me out with some advice.
I bought some Devita C serum (LAA 17%), I think it was around 6 months ago (but maybe longer), haven't used it much in the past several months. I put it just on my cheeks a few nights ago, on a whim, woke up in the morning, and bam! bright Red streaks right where I applied the serum. Well, that was three days ago, and I still have slight reddening in that area. Also, some sun spots/freckles in that area of my face now appear darker. I feel dumb, to say the least - looks like I got burned by an oxidized C serum. Don't let it happen to you!
Can anyone give me some advice on how I can heal my skin from this?
Also - I was previously planning on getting touch up IPL fotofacial in a couple of weeks. Do you think I should cancel and give my skin time to recover, or is it OK to proceed with IPL in 2 weeks?
thanks for any advice you can offer. |

Yes, I would wait on the IPL. I would be very gentle on your skin, maybe put some aloe vera gel on it, or a soothing oil like emu...just stay away from doing anything abrasive. |
