I make lots of gym and my abs are really at their best!
But my body skin is sagging (well I'm 53 years old): I need toning and firming help for my body skin.
Any experience with organic or quasi organic products?
I had great results with products for my face but I still have not found anything for body |

Plastic surgery! Just joking I'm in the same spot as you. I've been body brushing (not as consistently as would like), currently I'm trying microcurrent on my legs, glutes, back and stomach as well as the backs of my arms. I saw a difference in my arms on the first treatment....only downside is that you have to maintain the treatments, so I'll let you know. I own the machine (esthetician) and am doing a demo on myself to see if it really works. I promise to give an honest report when the results are in! |

has, there are certain rules that one has to keep in mind before starting hot/cold showers. The most important one is to gradually decrease the temp of the water so that the body can adjust. People who take contrast showers regularly have very tight skin.
I do not know any organic products with glycolic acid, otherwise I would suggest Jan Marini Bioglycolic body cream.

I'm using skin biology copper peptides on my body to firm my skin. It has worked on my face and neck...it takes a while..but I know it will do the same on my body. I think the dry brush Idea is a good one too. |

I had very good results with my products on my face but the same products didn't change anything in my body after months!
I don't know if face products can effect body skin |

I had the same results. I used one of their body lotions on one arm only for two or three months and nothing on the other arm and saw no difference. I also didn't care for the smell.
Nothing has gotten rid of that thin, papery, crepey top layer of skin but AHAs do make it softer feeling. |

well my problem is that my skin is really smooth, very nice at touch, the muscles are at the best (if I were a man perhaps I would think only at beer and footbal but I would have a six pack!) but... my skin is falling down! like an old fabric |

in my opinion there is no interest in body skin as in face skin!
For your face you can find thousands of solutions and lots have some effects, short time and little change perhaps, but some!
For body? |

tomorrow I will start using Rosa Mosqueta and Jojoba Oil plus Avocado Oil.
Later I will add Argan Oil.
I'm facing a comegedonic risk but I'm tired of poor results
I would need only some firming stuff! |

I started a weight loss program (with a bariatrician) about 2 months a go, one of my main concerns was the loose skin, I made an extensive research, and almost everybody said that the only way to get rid of the loose skin was plastic surgery, I was kinda depressed, I didn't want to have a abdominoplasty.
After several days, I saw the light at the end of the tunnel: Herbal Body Wraps!
I didn't know nothing about body wraps, but some people that were loosing weight said that the Set-N-Me-Free Body wraps + Body Brushing + exercise was the key for solving/preventing loose skin.
I will be honest with you: I still have lots of kilos to lose, but so far so good.
Body wraps are popular for size loss, but I was more interested in skin firming, but I got both things and I'm happy
Many people think that body wraps only make you lose water and as soon as you drink water the inches will come back, but that's not true at all, you need to drink a gallon of water every day, so you can flush the toxins of your body.
I wrap myself at home, and my bariatrician doesn't know that I'm doing this, and every time I have an appointment with her (every 2 weeks) she measures me and her jaw drops! hahahaha.
Now the firming part: as I told you, I have lots of kilos to lose (I'm still fat :P) but I can see that my skin is tightening, I'm losing weight but my skin is not sagging (my arms don't lie! :P ).
I buy the Set-N-Me-Free Herbal Body Wrap Solution by gallon at bmlbasic, and wrap myself every 3 days.
You can make your own body wraps solutions with the herbs you want, you only have to make a little research, I saw recepies for herbal body wraps, but I can't remember the URL :S |

What a great tip. I want to learn more.
I did, however, to a professional series of wraps a few years ago. Can't remember what they are called. It was a chain spearheaded by a woman. I have to say, what result I noticed the most? Was clarity of mind. I'm not kidding. They did take off inches..but I wasn't convinced they were for nothing more than fitting into a dress for a special event. But what i really noticed is I was sharper..could think faster and solve problems quicker. My husband and I laughed about it. Maybe it flushed toxins out of my system or something. I dunno. I could only think it was the wraps. lol. |

onlyorganic, my situation is very similar to yours. I would love to know if there is a REAL solution to tighening up loose body skin. My under arms look like bat wings! Prevention isn't going to do a thing for me at this point. Too late for that! I don't want surgery. I have heard the scars are pretty bad. |

I made a large bottle of vitamin C serum for the body using vitamin C powder, allantoin, and couple of other formulary type ingredients, and it worked pretty well overall for pigmentation smoothing, tightening the skin, etc. |

I need to lose several pounds but am very concerned about loose skin, too. If you don't mind my asking, how expensive is the Set Me Free product? |

I'll post what I've learned about loose skin and body wraps, just give me some time
@Elvisshops: I found 2 sites that sells the set-n-me-free solution gallons:
Body Logic: ebodylogic(dot)com (98 dlls)
And Bmlbasic: bmlbasic(dot)com (89 dlls the regular one and 92 with lavander)
I buy @ bmlbasic I must say that is a very good company, they ship the same day.
You need to mix 1 cup of the solution x 3 cups of water, and this is enough for one complete body wrap, and sometimes, I got some solution left and I keep it on the fridge and use it for the next wrap, so you can make about 17 wraps with one gallon. or even more if you only wrap your arms, tummy and thighs which are the most problematic areas when you lose weight.
They also have the same formulation in gel form, this gel is a lot easer to apply, but more expensive! I bought a 16 oz bottle to use it on my neck.
You can visit the Set-n-me-free page for more information: set-n-me-free(dot)com but I don't recommend you to buy directly from them because is too expensive! |

Really?
I thought you could also get a cold from sitting on cold rocks or benches outside??
At least that's what my parents used to tell me.
But really, you usually get colds from germs and from touching too much stuff outside then touching your face,or people on the bus sneezing, or not washing your hands before you eat..like let's say you are out, have a snack mix or get stuff from the bulk food bins where they do not clean the scoops every day and little kids maybe sneeze on that food too....
Just saying' |

I just started researching body wraps for cellulite and loose skin. It seems herbal, rather than clay or mud based, is the way to go. I'm not sure why, though. Also, there are a few good videos on youtube under body wraps. |

I think most of the "remedies" are a temporary fix at best. There are some signs of aging that you can't fix. I doubt I will ever have enough sagging to warrant the expense and pain of surgery because I've never been fat. How many people see your body below the neck? I'd rather spend my money on my face. I could always gain weight to take up the slack. |

Well, the only suggestion I may have is "swimming" because it will tone your whole body but it takes time. Also body cream and expoliant products can improve on your skin.

Dry brushing is supposed to help. Raw food diet maybe??? Yoga or Callanetics are wonderful - I've seen so many in yoga who have very youthful, strong bodies and are older. Jarring exercises and similar movement (running, etc) increase downward movement/gravity. |
