With my pre-Christmas Decleor order, I received a sample tube of Decleor men's 'comfort' cream (sorry, cannot remember the exact name). I thought my boyfriend would have a nice little treat but guess what - it never got to him 'cos I kept it! The smell of this cream was gorgeous, a little spicey (as you would expect from men's product) but I wouldn't say that it was strictly masculine. I also loved its texture - since it is a 'comfort' cream, it left my skin very supple and smooth yet without the shine and heaviness that you often get from women's product. And what is more - I checked its price on EDS and it was very reasonable! Please can anyone advise me if there is any particular reason why I couldn't use this product? I have found it the past that a lot of men's cosmetics suit my combination-oily skin since they don't leave any greasy film. So to sum this up - is there any particular reason (perhaps from the ingredients point of view) why us girls couldn't use men's skincare? |

As far as I know, it's just a label. The main difference is fragrance and packaging. Men won't use a product that doesn't say men or homme on it. They might as well pick up a pink bottle of something or other...hehe
Clinique often puts their girls products in a mens bottle and sells if for less. A nice saleslady told me way back when i used that junk! I'm sure other companies do it too...
I'm not saying decleor does this.
If it works for you, use it. |

perfect time for this question. I saw something like the essentual balm on the decleor men's line. It's something else, wonder if anyone knows the diff, or if it's a stronger version of the ladies' version

I think it should be fine but what does come to mind is that men in general seem to have less sensitive and more oily skin than women (I think). So keep that in mind before you switch over to the full men's line
If you like the cream and your skin is happy with it then go for it I say!
I think that stuff about Clinique repackaging is true - one of my friends was a counter manager and told me that some of the men's stuff is just repackaged women's stuff in a more "manly" bottle. |

I used to buy one of their moisturizers and the lady convinced me to buy the men's because it was a larger size, and ended up less expensive per oz./ml/whatever. It was EXACTLY the same...just a grey bottle instead of the green |

That should be fine, I've heard the same thing, that these products are the same anyway! To be extra safe and not even think about it, my boyfriend and I share Yu-Be Moisturizing Skin Cream because it's so non-gender-directed. I love how soothing it is and how young-looking and feeling it keeps my skin, he likes that it doesn't have a femme fragrance and is strong enough to work for him! |
