Age: 40
Ethnicity: Latina
Skin description: Thick, porous, large pores, beginning to show lines in my forhead, some discloration.

I have budgeted $200 to invest in a skin care maintenance device, but I can't decide which would be the most beneficial for my skin type.

My goal is smaller pores, smoother texture, even skin-tone and a reduction in fine lines. Can you ladies help me make a decision?

Wow, 94 views and no replies. Is it "newbie" prejudice? Sad

No brassflower not at all, I think it's the fact these machines are such different animals. The really do address issues in a different way.
I love my HF device.

Welcome to the forum! Smile

Thanks Darkmoon Cool

Well that type of feedback is precisely why I posted this topic. From reading the forums I understand both have the potential to clear up skin and improve texture, but I would think one would be better at addressing specific issues than the other. This is where I'm getting confused and need some help - for my skin type and problems, which device would be most beneficial?

I understand they both "work" though just from what has been posted here.

The HF does work for many on breakouts and acne, with continued use it helps with clarity of skin, killed off a persistant wart on my daughters hand (doctor treated and it still returned) I have seen moles lighten and shrink.

The HF stimulates your skin, scalp and kills off microbes.

A microderm machine will slough off dead cells.

It depends on your needs, personally I can exfolieate manually and chemically (enzymes work also).

The HF for me is irreplacable, now that's my feelings in the 2. Others may feel differently. Smile

Hopefully some others possibly owning both will chime in. Smile

Thanks Darkmoon.
If you pass back through can you share your exfoliating regimen?
