I am 22 years old. Female, never had a baby, nevr over-weight. I have stretch marks all over my body. the areas of concern for now are back of my knees and back of my legs all the way down to my feet!! It really does bother me and i don't think anybody has stretch marks in those areas. anyways. i just ordered Dermaroller (i just bought the miller 1.5 mm and nothing else) a few days ago and havne't recieved the package yet. I read a few reviews and I am scared to use this thing. I have no idea about when to use it, how often, what else i need to use it. I just don't want to damage my skin even more. Please, someone let me know in details exactly how I need to use it and how much pain is normal? I don't like to see blood!!
thanks |

Stretch mark treatment products like cocoa butter, shea butter and vitamin E improves the appearance of the surface of the skin by up to 99%. |

If your skin is dry then those products will improve the skin surface but they wont do anything for stretch marks. |

The thing about the dermarolling threads is that I've found so many share their rolling protocols and problems along the way so it's worth a read just for that alone.
Not sure if you've seen this one, but it contains links to CIT/Dermarolling Articles and Presentations with recommendations as to frequency plus pre- and post-roll protocols.
HTHs.

Hi,
It's been a month now that I'm using derma roller every other day. I used Murad firming and toning lotion along with it. I must say I haven't seen any noticeable result yet maybe 10% if any. But my skin(the area I roll) is darker than my natural skin. Is this normal? I roll every other day. Please let me know. I don't want to damage my skin more than it already is. Thanks |

With a 1.5 mm, you should only be rolling once every 4-6 weeks, as it takes time for the collagen to rebuild. You don't want to constantly be breaking it down before it has a chance to rebuild.
It's a long term process and can take months. |

Thanks a lot for telling me. I myself feel like I'm overdoing it. I use 1.5 mm but don't use any numbing gel with it. Although I put normal pressure when i roll. But I am going to cut it down to once every week or every two weeks. Thanks |

Hi, So it's been a few months since i started rolling. The first month, i overdid it and rolled every other day. But then this past 2 months i rolled only once each month. So, i want to know if anybody has seen any good result and if so how long it takes. Also, can I use scrub on my body between the rolling schedules? One more questions that how do you guys disinfect your derma rollers? thanks a lot |
