| My skin has become very ashy looking. It's not dry or anything, but it looks like there's no moisture in there at all! At the same time, I'm producing a ton of oil. Is this something that I need to change in terms of diet or are there products that can help with that? |

I'm not an expert, but when I see skin that is both oily and ashy, I think the problem is a combo of oily skin that is dehydrated, possibly an exfoliation problem (either over exfoliated or under, but given this forum, I would guess over), and one in which there hasn't been enough anti-oxidants applied. Also, I would look at diet.
For oily skin types, I would recommend some sort of oxygen mask or serum (too drying for dry skin types), switching for awhile to very gentle exfoliants (highly recommend Zia's Green Papaya Peel.. it will clear away a layer of dirt and oil and only dead skin while not touching anything healthy.. you just look refreshed and clear afterward), and lots of water drinking plus reducing packaged foods and coffee.
You'd be amazed at the skin results you can get by eating only homemade foods for a few weeks, lots of fresh stuff, and not drinking coffee. And drinking A LOT of water. |
