Hello everyone!
So I have a skin condition called sebaceous prominence. It is basically blocked/hardened sebum + keratin under the skin of the genitals. It's quite common in males but its downright annoying to me.
Anyway, I did my homework and came up with OCM and the aspirin mask. I have used the aspirin mask two times and OCM around 7-8. So far there has been a change, but minimal. These things seems to be deep deep so that may be why I'm not seeing as quick results as people with acne.
When I am OCM'ing it seems like the bumps under the skin get more prominent. I'm guessing because the gunk is being pulled out of the pores? Also, I am not seeing whiteheads disloge like many mention BUT I am seeing black stuff come out So I am guessing that is dirt? Has anyone else experienced this with OCM? I am using 50/50 castor sunflower once a night.
As for the aspirin mask, I am doing it every other day.
So my question to you guys is, what do you recommend to focus on for this specific condition? Should I be OCM'ing more/less? Should I wear the mask more/less? The skin isn't dry nor oily, just CLOGGED and BUMPY. |

Not sure about your condition but OCM is a process in the beginning and won't unclog skin over night, advice stick with the schedule and have patience. |

Thanks DarkMoon!
How long do you think I will have to OCM before the pores start to become unclogged? Also, is it normal for black stuff to come out? |

The length of time is very individual, sorry can't give you more of a time line.
Sebum when exposed to oxygen (air) in an open pore will oxidize and turns black, the difference between a whitehead and a blackhead basically. so yes it is normal.

I agree with DM regarding that this takes time.
I wanted to comment that 50% castor is too much. Its not recommend to go with more then 30%. Also IMO unless you add an emulsifier that will help the oils rinse clean you should be using another cleaner afterward. |

Considering the location I agree about a cleanser after using OCM, however the percentage of Castor Oil depends on ones skin. 50% is recommended as a standard in many places, I see others use even higher amounts while others much lower. I use a 50/50 blend of Castor Oil And EVOO and it has worked well for my skin for over a decade. I don't use an emulsifier of cleanser after on my face of course. |

If you find taht the aspirin mask is working for you, I suggest you to switch to an actual BHA product as the ingredient is more effective. |

Thanks for the information everyone!
What do you guys recommend to use as a cleanser afterwards? I thought it was better not to use anything after OCM?
I think I will stick with the 50/50 as it doesn't seem too harsh or drying, but I may switch from sunflower to jojoba oil. It just seems like a better match for my skin. Tell me what you think!
Oh, and do you have to have a particular type of diet along with OCM? Like limit sat fat, sugar, etc. |

Wait, so is this on/near your genitals too?
As for the diet, I don't thinkt here is a specific diet that goes with OCM, but I just recommend eating healthy. You can try a vegan diet if you want, but I don't think it's necessary. Just follow the nutrition guide and avoid processed sugars and sugars in general if you can |
