Received Expiring Products in new order - what to do?

Hello All,

This is my first post and I wanted to get some advice from everyone. I just received my skincare order from a line that EDS carries (but bought directly through them as they had a sale) but 2 of the 4 products are at or near expiration (with a month). The manufacture date was 2 years ago. I've contacted them and they said that that is how they were able to discount them for the sale and that they have customers "clamoring" for expiring products at a discount. I'm a little bugged by it as it was not mentioned in the sale...I was expecting items that would be good for a while. The product line is "green/natural" with very little preservatives.

They have offered to swap them out when new product comes in a few weeks/months. Should I just go ahead and use it for now or return them? It's my first order from them (they have great feedback on EDS) but am a little soured by the purchase.

Wait so you bought a line of products directly from the company and NOT EDS? Just wanted to clear that up...

I think you should return them. The active ingredients (if any) will lose their effectiveness near the expiriation date. Any other ingredients can also expire because the preservatives in the product are no longer working as well, so there's a chance that it can be contaminated.
