Hello all,

I am very curious if anyone else has had the Villani treatment or has heard about it. If so, please share your experience! I just had it done yesterday for the first time for my severe melasma, mild acne, and moderately uneven skin tone/texture. I will need about 8 weekly treatments done, so this is just the beginning... My face is very red today (the day after the treatment) and sensitive to the touch. It is supposed to start peeling (if peeling occurs) on day 4 or 5.

If anyone is interested, I will re-post to share my results as time goes by. I am hoping to see an improvement (no matter how small) after the first treatment.

Just FYI, my dermatologist recommended the Villani treatment or IPL to treat my melasma/skin texture/acne. I chose the Villani treatment because it is cheaper than IPL and is supposed to be "natural" (comes from a naturally occurring sea sponge).

Thanks in advance to anyone that replies.

How does Villani differ from IPL? Sounds quite interesting and I hope you see good results!

I had the Villani Treatment done last week for uneven skin tone and to try to hide my Vitiligo. My first one caused some minor peeling for one day and then it all cleared and I love it. I'm going to schedule my next one today. I think it really helped to even out my skin and it feel fantastic. Anyone else tried it yet?

I just had the Vallani treatment done and the results were fantastic! I'm glad I had it done. It was well spent money. Just one treatment and my skin is glowing. The first day I had a bad sunburn and a tingly feeling in my pores. It felt like fiberglass in my pores, but only if I touched my face. Each day the tingly feeling was less and less, and then I started to peel. I exfoliated as directed and my skin looks awesome. I look younger and it gave me a radiant glow. My skin has always been dry and I have freckles, but I have otherwise nice skin with no acne. But I recommend this treatment to all. I will definitely get this treatment again.

I have had over a half dozen treatments. I have brown pigments and am East-Indian in origins. I love the results! However, before, when I got treatments they mixed ingredients themselves and now its's become standardized. The person doing it last mentioned that they use sodium hydroxied which alarmed me greeatly. I've been reluctant to use it fr two reasons. One, I got some dark pigment as a result of some vigorous rubbing on the upper cheek area where it scarred me really. Second, there is the sodium hydroxide issue? Last, I really don't know if the trauma is actually causing me to have darker skin tone, such that I have to keep going back to maintain a certain look. I'd love to know if there is a long term darkening effect.
