Hi im new here and firstly i would like to send shouts to all my fellow skin lovers here
Right i have been using daggett & ramsdell Retinol A serum under my whole lower eyelids and entire face for about 2 weeks every evening and have noticed some slight flakiness is this normal and do you think its safe to use retinol a under the whole eyelid above the orbital bone.
I do think my eyelid wrinkles and crowsfeet have decreased and my whole face looks smoother and brighter using this product but have also noticed my eyelid skin looks more sunken in above my orbital bone ??
Also Doesnt retinol a thicken the skin due to it stimulating faster collagen production ?
Thanks alot

I use prescription strength Retin-A (and have used Differin, Avene Diacneal and Avene Retrinal) on my under-eye area and crows feet for years without issues.
Any effects on wrinkles after just 2 weeks are purely down to the retinoid mildly irritating your skin and thus causing it to plump up. The more permanent effects, even with a prescription strength retinoid, take considerably longer to manifest.
Retinoids thicken the dermis and thin the epidermis. Overall that adds up to thicker skin where it matters. |
