I wanted to know if any of you knowledgable guys know or have a skin care routine based on, not the appearance of the outer layer of the skin (epidermis) but the layers underneath (dermis). As with age the dermis underneath starts underperform which shows through the dermis, the skin we see, causing wrinkles sagging, and other age related problems.
So the key to healthy looking skin is to get the dermis working as it did when we were younger. Im just repeating what you guys probably know.
Routine that helps bring back functioning dermis targeted for healthy skin and so:
>stimulates and regulates normal collagen and elastin levels production (arranging and springing out dermis for a smoother wrikle free complexion)
>toughens bundles of fibres in the dermis (keeping the skin firm, plump with a bounce)
>Respiration (keeping oxygen levels to the cells at normal levels-cellturnover brighter complextion) Oxidation
Its relatively easy finding products that target so on and so forth, but harder finding the right combination that work well together rather than counteract each other making the products useless or the situation worse.
So anyone have a routine theyd like to share?? It will be helpful to to name the product and state when to use them
Also any other products to be used along side, i.e once every week etc is also valuable informtation.
Peace
TL
P.s personally id like something that increases skin thickness rather than small lines wrinkles etc, like the beginnings of nosolobial grooves (i.e collagen depletion from underneath causing skin to dip in on a wide scale compared to lines..) ExtraAppreciation!!! |

have you checked out Obagi? Lots of threads here on EDS - it does pretty much what you're asking, tho if it's just increased cell turn over you're after, not pigment issues & sun damage, I'd say retin a
I'm only on week 15 of the above, but there are plenty of satisfied ladies on here that have used it with great success

I agree. If you don't have pigmentation issues, Retin A is the #1 ingredient you want for collagen. You can also check into AHA's and topical C. Plus make sure to use a good sunscreen daily or all your hard work will be for nothing. |

Also, there are a few threads on facial massage. This moves the lymph fluid out of the tissue beneath the skin and stimulates renewal processes.
Or at least tht's what they say, I can' remember to do it on a regular basis, but I do find my face looks less puffy after I do massage, especially my forehead. |

Retin A will be your best bet if your skin can handle it |

Hey if you are looking for a perfect skincare regime. You should check this out. I have been using mine from Artistry skin care for 3 years now. When I go to the mall, people tell me wow you have a wonderful skin. And it is WOW, when stranger complements you on your skin! I have a friend who is skin care consultant. I would advice you to contact her. She gives FREE advice and it is awesome. She can exactly tell you according to your age and symptoms what you should use. Its wonderful. |
