I've been supplementing with wheat germ oil for a few weeks now and I am astounded at what a difference it has made with my skin and hair. My skin is absolutely baby soft and supple and my hair is no longer dry and brittle. I'm amazed because I've tried so many things to combat dry hair and skin over the years, you wouldn't believe some of the remedies I've concocted. My skin tone is also evening out better, stretch marks are diminishing, and my lips are baby soft. It also makes me feel energetic in the mornings. I could go on and on about all the changes lol
I've supplemented with various nutritional oils over the years. I did fish oil for a few years, flax for a few, and hemp oil for a few, but the wheat germ has been hands down the best one I've tried so far.
Life Extension makes a product called "Skin Restoring Ceramides with Lipowheat" which is where I got the idea to take wheat germ oil. I think a huge part of the benefit of wheat germ comes from the high vitamin e content, so I'm not sure if this product would work as well as it seems that it is only a specific extract of wheat germ oil, but it might be worth a shot. |

Hi,
I have also tried various oils and thought I had found the best one of all with cactus seed oil and arcs oil. Does wheatgerm have more vit e than argan and cactus oils? Arcs oil has significantly helped my facial scars but I have not used it on my stretch marks simply because it's £35 for 125ml.If wheatgerm is cheaper and works well than I will give it a go on my tummy. I have had such an improvement on my face that I couldn't give up the arcs oil. |

I believe wheatgerm has the highest vitamin e content of all vegetable oils, around 35%. I don't have much experience using it topically, but I've read a lot about it being used topically on hair and skin and it is quite a bit less expensive than the oil you describe. I paid around $14 for 32oz |

Wheat germ oil is proven to improve blood circulation and help repair damaged tissues. This is especially the case in the event of skin being damaged by excessive exposure to the harmful UV radiation from the sun. Other benefits of wheat germ oil include its effect in strengthening the immune system and restoring overall health. |

Wheatgerm oil is a very sensitive oil, therefore must be used cautiously. It tends to degrade in quality, when exposed to high temperatures. Being unrefined in nature, it is usually dark in color and also has a heavy smell. It is a good source of fatty acids that are very vital for the healthy growth of the body. The oil is taken out from the germ of the wheat. The germ forms only 3% of the weight of a wheat grain; nonetheless, contains about 25% of the protein, vitamins and minerals. |

Hi guys,
I have tried wheatgerm oil in capsule form and found it gave me a real bloated stomach. Does anyone know if using it in liquid form may make a difference?
thanks

You could hold Wheat Germ up there along with other supplemental oils. Fish oil isn also very good. This has helped me allot and Dr Perricone also high recommends it. |

Coconut, may I ask what brand and how much of the wheat germ oil you take? How long have you been taking it? Also, what does it taste like? Thanks! |

The results wont be comparable to applying it topically, because your acting on a specific area of the skin but through supplementing it with other oils when cooking it will have an overall affect on your skin through acting on the cells before they surface. |
