Please could we keep this thread for hair removal/reduction of the ahem, delicate lady parts? (Discuss the skin rejuvenator in the other threads?)

I just received my VISS (superfast shipping, wonderful customer service) and I'm REALLY scared to use it down there. There is hair where I didn't even know there was hair, and it's really dangerously close to some parts that I'm quite sure I don't want to zap.

Could someone please tell me what to do and possibly reassure me? I want it ALL gone.

Thank you in advance!!!

Very Happy

I don't have VISS but do have Silkn. I suggest starting off at the very lowest setting and working up to a level that is comfortable. And shave first!

Thank you for answering but how did you do it? The instruction booklet says not to put it on certain areas (don't want to get overly descriptive here, I'm sure you know what I mean), but how do you get the hairs that are right there? And how does one even shave some of those areas?

I had laser hair removal done "down there", shave first or it hurts like hell. I had to have a helper shave the places I can barely get to. Embarassed

Ohhhhh, that's the secret - a helper! I wonder if my ex husband would help me out with that?

Seriously, though, I guess I'm up a creek then. Hmmm. I did try the VISS after all, even worked up the courage to try setting 5, which was pretty warm, but didn't hurt. But I don't think I did a very good job with the razor OR the VISS, very difficult to get to certain areas, and I was TERRIFIED I'd get a nasty burn and then either not be able to walk for days or have to show up at emerg and explain why my cha cha is fried.

Do I really have to wait two weeks to try it again though? I think 5 was too low, I don't think it did a thing.

Just go carefully...

It's the hair that absorbs the energy so the delicate (unhairy ) bits should be quite safe.

I can't speak for the VISS in particular, as I had mine done by a esty, but they only wanted me to wait a few weeks in between because it gives new hair follicles time to start growing. I didn't experience any damage or even mild swelling so I do not think that the wait time is due to this.

I have the VISS and have been using it "down there" but not over the actual genital area. So far, I'm very happy with the results - hair growth is visibly retarded and I haven't had any ingrown hairs.

As PosyLee suggested, I would start off on a very low setting and work up to what's tolerable. Try shaving with a battery operated shaver first - one of those really tiny ones meant for the eyebrows might be good.

I've been using the VISS once a week.

Hi,
I've done two treatments down there, I could pretty much do most of it, but due to the size and angle you need to get to i just don't think its possible to get every single bit by yourself.
Use a lower setting to start, some areas hurt more than others. I think its safe enough just a matter of actually getting the applicator head into the correct position. good luck. Smile
