I get monthly event calendars from my local medspa. This week they are featuring a "Bio-Roller" event! LOL.
I could just imagine the face of the esthetician if I booked on and compared notes...
It appears to be the BioJouvance product and I am not sure which needle depth they are using, except surely less than "medical" depth.
According to the desk attendant, once you tell the esthetician what your own personal skin issues are, she will assign you on of the serum ampules to use.
The price is $125 - I have seen Groupon specials for half that.
Very interesting....this does cut somewhat into their laser or peel business, but given the state of the economy, this may be the right product at just the right time.
Thoughts?
Seeing this in your area?
Who knew we were so ahead of the curve here?

A few salons/spas do it in my city too, going from £200 upwards.
I was tempted by this one: http://www.5pm.co.uk/the-big-deal/glasgow/69-for-a-dermaroller-skin-care-treatment-at-clinetix-rejuvenation-a-65-saving-on-the-standard-200/
but I have a few 1.5mm ordinary and 3-line rollers, I'd be wasting my cash. The big problem for me is the pain! I have EMLA but still have tears rolling down my cheeks when I try to roll and don't go as deep as I'd like.
If someone could recommend a wonder topical anaesthetic I'd be rolling again!
I'm doing Palovia faithfully which is probably similar. |

For the short needled rollers, it's not worth my time and money - as I really don't mind doing that at all for myself.
As for the longer needled rollers, it would be worth it to me - I really don't enjoy that self-inflicted process.
I agree that Palo Via is likely the same thing -basically, poking holes in your skin so that serums better penetrate. The problem I have with Palo Via is that the company won't back up its claims.

A lot of the salons don't advertise needle length, so best to check. I'd assume they're 1mm at the very least |

Rodan and Feilds have also designed a dermaroller that has gone main stream. I'm not to sure that it will appeal to everyone but it will definitely provide good results. |
