Hi, I was wondering if anyone could describe what kind of tape this is. I've posted the link below so hopes it works. I guess it used to be a very popular tape used to "set" the hair in place back in the day and was available in drugstores. Now, I think you can only get it online. Anyhoo, I was reading that it could be used on forehead lines a la frownies and it's definitely cheaper.
However, I can't make out what the tape looks since its all rolled up in all the pics I've seen of the hair set tape. I am wondering what the tape looks like and if it would pull the skin like harsher tape. Or if anyone has experience with it in helping with forehead elevens (vertical lines in betwixt eyebrows)that would be great!
Thanks. http://www.amazon.com/Scotch-Hair-Created-Especially-Styling/dp/B000V5F2NO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1309296494&sr=8-1 |

Interesting.. never seen it done before, but how would you stick it on without anyone seeing the tape there? |

I don't know what that tape is, but people use simple surgical tape you can get at any drugstore instead of frownies. I got some for 3 or 4 dollars.
(This only used at night) |

Thanks for the replies. I was wondering if it was the same as Scotch magic tape, but I wasnt sure as the pic shows the tape rolled up. It's pretty cheap so I guess I can take a chance and order, but I'm wondering if it's more skin friendly as it is intended for hair.
I guess this tape used to be very popular in the 60s and 70s. |

I agree with HippoMe...Scotch Magic tape works great! Would you believe that my glabellar lines have disappeared since I started taping them at night while I sleep? I do tape every night for at least 3 hours, and it works for me. Doing this is sooooo inexpensive when you compare it to the expense of Botox...not to mention the risk and the pain!!!
The funny thing is that the one time that I tried Botox, it did not get rid if my glabellar lines!!!

I actually saw this hair setting tape you asked about at a CosmoProf supply store yesterday (beauty supply for cosmetologist, estheticians). You could probably find it at Sally's, too (sells to the public) or another beauty supply. I think I'm going to get some and give it a try! |
