Hey y'all...been a long time. I've missed everybody.
Next weekend, July 29 is opening night for a Shakespeare play I'm in and I play a woman who's much younger than my age 51. The director, a woman 14 years older than I, thinks I look fine and that I'm the only one who notices my "smoker's" lines above my upper lip. This will be "Theater-in-the-round" where the "stage" is in the middle of the floor and surrounded by the audience, which gets them much closer to the actors than a standard stage would. I generally don't wear foundation because it settles into my facial lines and makes them more visible, but I generally only buy "cover girl" or whatever I find at WalMart. Is there really such a thing as a line-filler, or a foundation that would actually hide them. It seems to me that lines are depressions in the skin therefore causing shadows, and any makeup that "hides" lines would have to do nothing short of filling in. Is there any foundation that serves as a "spackle" of sorts? What about a primer? I emailed a friend who does makeup about this issue and she suggested airbrush, but that price tag is WAY out of my league. I've never spent more than 10 dollars on foundation, so I was thinking that I could go up to about $30 if it's something I can get at a mall...it's too late to order online. I can drive an hour to the mall and spend as much as $40, I guess....can anyone help me?
Thanks! |

Check out Dermablend. Reasonable prices, and very heavy coverage. |

Check out Olay regenerist filling and sealing wrinkle treatment. It can be applied over your makeup to fill in the lines. |

Clare, have you personally tried the Dermablend for wrinkle covering/filling? All of what I'm reading online mention the coverage of color imperfections but I've not seen wrinkles mentioned. It looks good though, although color irregularities are not my major issues.
Girliegirl, what about you? Have you tried this with success? I'm reading the reviews on MUA and some report the product rolling up into little balls....perhaps they weren't applying it correctly...one said she tried the "30 second" treatment she received in the mail, but she was figuring that since the rest of the name was the same, the product must be, and she hated it. Maybe it really was different stuff.
I'll be checking into it...in the meantime I'll certainly investigate the names of any other product suggested...anyone else??
Thanks, both of you!! |

I would also suggest the Olay regenerist filler. It also works well as a primer and will give your skin a matte finish. I purchased mine for around $20 at Walgreen's.
Congrats on the play. Wish you the best! |

Loreal Collagen Filler, is very high in silicone based ingredients, and will temporarily fill in wrinkles. |
