Ok, so in the description for Skinceuticals Renew Overnight for Oily Skin says 5% AHA blend, under the ingredients it says 15%. and the skinceuticals website says 10%
Does anyone have this product and can tell me which is correct?
Also, I'm sensitive to salicylic acids, does this mean I'll be sensitive to this product too? |

I have the product guide from Skinceuticals and I use the Renew Overnight Dry. They both say 10% hydroxy acid blend. It is the same for the Oily version. |

I don't have the product, but some products (MD Forte's cleanser comes to mind) contains 20% glycolic compounds which is equivalent to 12% glycolic acid. That might be the case as to why there are % discrepancies. Not saying it is, but it may be.
I wouldn't be concerned about the %, but rather if it's the correct pH. I'd contact them and ask.
Salicylic acid isn't the same as glycolic acid, but both can be fairly strong. It's safe to say that if you have fairly sensitive or redness prone skin than these sorts of products wouldn't be best for you. |

dalguy, Thanks for the information. I seem to be pretty sensitive to salicylic acids...but I can use a 10% BP without problems. My skin is retarded! I think I'll ask for a sample of the stuff and see what my skin does with it. I'm waiting for the arrival of the daily moisture from skinceuticals and think the overnight may be good to use too.
I'll just hold off for now |
