Hello,
The doctor gave me a prescription on retin-a, which I am using now for a few weeks, every night before going to sleep.
I still have acne marks, that I used to treat with glycolic and mandelic peels. I stopped the peels because the retin-a leaflet says not to use any strong anti acne products. In the meanwhile I used pumpkin peel, but that doesn't really help the scarring.
Now I would like to start using these stronger peels again. What is the best way to do it? Should I not use retin-A, before or/and after the peel, for how many days? Or should I not do the peels until my skin is totally used to the retin-a?
Advise please!! Thank you! |

What strength of Retin-A do you use? |

I think its too soon to start using peels. Depending on the strength of your peel, you should stop retin-a a few day to a week before your peel and approx same # days after your peel. |

I agree with GirlieGirl especially as you are on one of the stronger forms of retin-a. |

Thank you for the answers.
My skin reacts very well, no flaking and the acne is less than I ever had.
How many weeks will it take to get my skin accustom to the tretoine? |

It varies but plan on 12 weeks. Irritation can sometimes sneak up on you out of the blue. |
