So I did the OCM with 60%jojoba oil and 40% Castor Oil (both of these were high grade)with a few drops of tea tree oil. Anyway, I have normal/dry skin and started doing this last week. Did this every night for about 5 days and then had some tough days with the kids so didn't feel like doing it for a few days and instead used 5% salicylic acid. My skin started flaking and peeling, my pores are super clogged everywhere. I have a couple of cysts, tons of blackheads and a handful of whiteheads. WTH happened? Anyway, I was invited to meet my husbands coworkers on Friday and my skin looks terrible. I haven't put anything on it for days except for PSF green tea cleanser. What should or can I do to "SIMMA DOWN" this mess. |

Hi,I'm newbie and this is 1st post-so take with many grains of salt.I've tried OCM and use it off and on,but i'll run out of oil and use something else my daughter's bought. But,it's really my fav way to clean my face.I've tried a mix with castor oil and it's so gross to me- very difficult to wipe off.But has such great properties.Try cutting back on amt.of CO,or try without it-just jojoba.Maybe it doesn't agree with your skin.Another thing--i do have break outs when i resume OCM.Think the skin's purging--all that gunk is getting cleaned out finally. It will calm down.I like avocado oil or plain ol olive oil. These too have great properties.Maybe try some aloe on your face to calm.Or some tend skin{alcohol, witch hazel, aspirin} I found an old post and made some--only thing i've ever made and really like it for breakouts.Yes,alcohol can be drying and worsen, but sometimes it works for me.Hope this helps. |
