Why not just switch to the cream if you find the gel too drying? |

I tend to mix a combo of vitamin c, AHA, and retin-a and then buffer it with vitamin e oil. That is after using a hydrating serum and it dosent dry the skin out at all. |

I buffer the combo with Vitamin E oil. Although prior to application use Palmers Hydration Serum which is packed with Hyalauronic acid, different hydration boosters, and other beneficial ingredients. It really is a winner for about $20.00AUD |

Word. CeRave is on par with retin a.. a beauty powerhouse. use it head to toe..I use the big jar for $15 at Walgreens. On wet skin...it seals in moisture all along. a little goes a long way when you use it that way..and it just makes your skin young again. |

That's exactly what Australia needs a powerhouse of products that are available every where else but here |

The best way to explain this would be saying using the combination of acids along with the vitamin e oil, balances it out, so that my skin is still getting all the actives but it's just not being over dried. |

Are you suggesting that it's a good idea to buffer the Retin-A into your skin with acids and oils? I can't remember where I read this, but I'm pretty sure that acids deactivate Retin-A, and you're just supposed to leave Retin-A on the skin by itself for at least an hour as it works best by itself. |

Oh my Echoecho! I don't think you will get any of the benefits of Retin A with all that added in. Who recommended that to you? |

This was more of a self restriction placed on this product. I dont know if you have read any of my other posts but years ago my skin suffered from a permanent damage due to Retin-A. I dont feel safe using the Retin-A without adding other things in. I have however heard it is great and so many people have such great results with it so have decided to keep it in the routine. I'm planning on changing retinol products soon and will be changing to a much weaker OTC retinol product, I'll feel comfortable using that product without the added oils etc. |
