Thanks for the article, Keliu. I think it confirms what the majority of us have found out by trial and error (and a ton of wasted money!). |

The date on that article says its from 2007. Hmm
It seems they should update it IMO |

Interesting article.
surprized there is no mention of vitamin C products?
I do find the best way to see if something works is to get samples of the things you want to try.
And many times if there is no packaged samples, the stores I've gone to have little containers and will put some of the product in there
so can't say I've wasted too much $$
for me anyways I like the vitamin C product I have, it does make my skin smoother when I use it.
but I am also still battling a few blemishes,so more focused on that than anti-aging.
I guess though the article has to focus on the popular brands that people know. |

Yes! I didn't look at the date. However, I don't think much has changed over the last three years.
As consumers, I think we are our own worst enemy. We want to believe in all the marketing hype and our hearts tend to rule over our heads. Maybe if we all took a stand against paying exorbitant amounts of money for products that don't deliver, things might improve. But, unfortunately, most people are happy to buy into the dream without taking any interest in the science (or lack thereof) behind the product.
The other problem is that the cosmetic companies don't want to incorporate pharmaceutical grade ingredients into their products because then they will come under more government regulation and won't be able to make false claims about the product's effectiveness. |
