Is anyone else annoyed that camisoles with lace across the top edge always seem to have lace at the bottom edge too?
I wear a DDD/F cup bra, so I have significantly more cleavage than average. I need a cami under many v-neck dresses to make them appropriate work attire. Every lace topped one seems to have a lace bottom too - adding a bump under an otherwise formfitting dress.
Does anyone actually like that lace? Or am I being super nitpicky?
(and the little Cami Secret clip on cami's aren't REALLY one size fits all, if anyone was wondering) |

| I went to a fabric store and bought a third of a yard each of black and ivory wide lace. I pin each side of the strip to my bra straps. Less bulky than wearing layers. |

| Instead of those lingerie type camisoles, try the 100% cotton ones such as Fruit of the Loom. These are more of a tank style which is what I always wear to work with low tops and looks quite snazzy in bright colors or color coordinated with your tops. i haven't seen the cotton ones with lace edges. |

I try to stay away from the tank style cotton camisoles for work. My office is staunchly opposed to business casual attire. Sometimes I think we are the last company left where formal business attire is still required. We are allowed one "dress down" day per year on office clean up day. I was initially excited - until I learned our definition of dressing down is that men don't have to wear ties. Cotton tanks cover the cleavage fine, but don't really fit in with dressier outfits.
I'm loving the lace idea however. I got a few weird looks at the store last night when I was groping the laces (why pick itchy if you don't have to?) and found two options. I haven't tried the pinning part yet. If it works out, I may end up tacking in some snaps so I don't have to use safety pins every time. I'm tremendously NOT a morning person. For me to use sharp objects when not yet awake is asking for trouble! |

| Bummer about the dress code... on casual Fridays people generally look like crap at my work, and its a financial institution. They look like they just came in from gardening or something. |

| Vermont Country Store used to have square necked camisoles but now they only seem to have one. The link didn't work so just google the store. |
