Hi Everyone:
Thought this may be an interesting post for us to participate in.
What has worked the VERY BEST for you?????? o
Was it a particular moisturiser, Led Treatment, Dermarolling ?
And how much improvement did you experience? And have you kept it up or not???
Warm Regards,
Maria (STork) |

I gained the best improvement from using a combination of vitamin c toner, retin a and glycolic acid.
I alternated using each acid daily (one acid per day) for six months. I always gave my skin saturday and sunday off, so was using the acids mon to fri.
It gave me clearer, firmer skin with diminished lines. |

Not easy to think of only one!
But FE face exercises started me off, then Kassys DIY vitC , then dermarolling (1mm still doing it, once every 4to 6 weeks, think it is helping), just started retinol ,AALS
OH the list is getting longer and longer thanks to EDS |

Face exercises. Started them over 20 years ago and still do them, and they alone have eliminated the need to use any other anti-aging product, device or method. OK, I do use sunblock. |

Well, it's very hard to name just ONE, because at different times we need different things.
Last time, for example, i was literally saved by Skin Biology's Emu Oil after accidentally sunburning my around eye area.
No other product in my arsenal could cure this itching turtle skin. I was already afraid this will be permanent damage.
I never used this thing before. I bought it only because it was promoted so much by members on EDS. Thank you EDS!!!
Another Skin Biology product Two Timing Tightener just helped me to remove my brown spot. I was fighting with it 5 years with no result
And it also was discovered by pure accident. I messed up my DIY C serum before summer vacation, so i had to use Two Timing Tightener twice a day.
When i came back - the brown spot was gone )
Sunblock - Thank you EDS members again for making me realize i need it every day and not only on vacation. Huge difference! |

Facial Exercises aside, I've started on a supplement that I now sell. It's been awesome for my skin. DH, who suffered from KP... totally gone. A friend of mine who suffered from some wierd skin condition requiring pills and cream, controlled enough to ditch the RX's.
And here I was looking for a boost in my immune system.
Huge impact on my whole body... won't go without! |

For the skin on my body: supplementing my diet with long-chain omega-3 essential fatty acids (fish body oil capsules). For me this clears mild eczema/ contact dermatitis/ keratosis pilaris.
For the skin on my face: switching the emphasis in my topical products from anionic surfactants/ chemical emollients/ silicones/ mineral oil to natural oils. I'm not using one particular oil, I have tried squalane and rosehip oils neat; sweet almond and sesame oils in a store moisturiser. My skin (and hair, which I switched over first) is much silkier and less likely to flake. |
_________________ Sensitivity, forehead pigmentation & elevens, nose & chin clogged pores. Topicals: Aloe vera, squalane, lactic acid, Myfawnie KinNiaNag HG: Weleda calendula, Lanolips, Guinot masque essentiel, Flexitol Naturals, Careprost. Gadgets: Vaughter dermarollers, Lightstim. |

This is great! I also have some KP and would love to try the fish oil capsules. They seem to be good for so many things.
ClaudiaFE, I'd also like to know what your supplement is!
Thanks for starting this topic, Stork!

Omega-3s really are all-singing-all-dancing! I noticed a difference in a month; given that my body was completely depleted I was surprised my skin started improving so quickly. I hope you get a good result too.
Please do check with a medical professional before adding any individual micro-nutrient supplements to your diet. Most times they will be delighted you are taking care of yourself, but some nutrients need to be combined with others or don't mix with prescribed medication. |

Omega 3 can cause hair loss, my personal experience and then i Googled and found out that this has happened with many, so just watch out if you feel you are losing more hair then usual.

Msjaly, and Ava (anyone else)... would you mind PMing me. And I'll get back to you. This is a supplement I was so impressed with I decided to start selling. We will introduce through FE, in the next month actually. But, since I'm selling it, don't want to turn this thread into a sales pitch. (which is why I didn't list it).
I will tell you, although I take omega's, D, and this supplement, the supplement is the ONLY thing I can get DH to swallow... (and only because he was like... UMMM what are you taking, and are you going to share? Huge difference in me. LOL) He also had KP. I've been doing micro derms on him for years, with only the ability to keep it down a bit. His is also totally gone, perfectly clear.
And I'm with firefox. You want to take supplements that are studied well. No need to pile up on expensive urine. You know? |

Daler... How much were you taking? Omegas are essential, and we don't make them. Do you think you were ODing? |

I took 1000mg daily... but if you google " omega 3 and hair loss" you will find lots of other people with the same complaint
However borage oil which has omega 6 and 9 but no omega 3 is supposedly good for hair and i did not experience hair fall from it, at least, so far... |

Sorry, I think I've managed to derail the thread... KP is Karatosis Pilaris
The link attached is what DH's looked like. If you google images you will see that some have some very aggressive versions of this.
http://tinyurl.com/3upyge2
It seems like thousands of tiny white heads. They tend to cover arms, upper back, thighs and such. DH dealt with arms. His skin was not "gross" by any stretch, but def. bumpy. Enough to bug him and for me to try to help. It's silky smooth now..
He has used for YEARS, glycolic washes, a body scrubber while showering, and Micro derm scrubs (administered by Moi)... Kept it "under control" but all is gone now. We've been married for 15 years, so I can officially say, it's only the last 4 months... all gone...
To get back on topic... I do think it's SUPER important to take care of your insides first...
In the same way, you can't work out daily and eat pizza and drink beer, expecting an awesome body... you can't let your insides go, and hope for the best with your outsides. |

Massage!
I used to think it's all just hype, but then I thought I have nothing to lose except for a couple of minutes in the evening. So far I'm amazed by the difference it made to my NL lines and my forehead. |

Pretty sure my answer would be tretinoin |

Naming one best thing....There are so many I intimately believe in and have seen results.
If I had to choose it would be Diet: green drinks: green smoothies, vitamineral drinks, etc. Drinking your water as what happens when you regularly indulge in green smoothies and support internal health comes FIRST. And being gluten free - absolutely no Wheat belly for me and a trim, toned physique with less time at the gym. |

Hi sister sweets, I'm very intrigued by your response. Are you gluten-free because you feel better or because you have to be? I have started purchasing gluten-free products even though I have no issues. What do you mean by wheat belly? Do those type of products make you bloated or gain weight? Do you think it's just wheat grains that are bad for you, or other grains too? I would love to hear your thoughts on this. |
